Happy Monday! I shot a really fun Valentine’s Day themed post over the weekend that I can’t wait to share with you. If you watch my instastories then you may have gotten a sneak peek! The shoot made me so excited about the upcoming holiday. Growing up, my mom always made a big deal out of Valentine’s Day. She would place beautiful arrangements of red and pink roses throughout our house, bake heart shaped cookies with colorful sprinkles, and put together gift baskets of chocolates and jewelry for my sister and I. I love that tradition and have tried to continue it for myself every year. This Valentine’s Day, treat yourself to something special like this polish set or this Charlotte Tilbury lipstick that one of my girlfriends is obsessed with. Upgrade your PJ game with this uber soft nightshirt and silk eye mask. Splurge on a classic pair of nude Louboutin pumps. Dress up a plain white T and boyfriend jeans with this fun pink vest. Slip on something sexy like this dainty For Love & Lemons bra. I just ordered these cute heart shaped cookie cutters and these pearl earrings that will go with everything. They’re so classic!
Now is the BEST time to buy a coat! First of all, it’s freezing out, and second almost all of them are on MAJOR sale! I’ve rounded up my 12 favorites that are under $300 – yes, each and every one is under $300. I love the fur collar detail on this coat. This is such an elegant cream coat that could easily transition into spring. This light grey casual coat reminds me of this coat I wore two winters ago. This is such a fun leopard coat… I love that the pattern is lighter than most – it’s subtle. I’ve been wanting an edgy black shearling coat forever, and the faux leather detail on this one caught my eye. This faux mink coat would be ideal for Friday nights out or you could wear it dressed down to brunch with light wash boyfriend jeans and a plain white T. I can see myself wearing this grey boucle coat every.single.day. Boucle is one of my fave materials – so cozy! OK soooo this chic light pink coat doesn’t look quite warm enough for snow days, but it just went online and is going to sell out fast so I suggest snapping it up for spring! Bundle up in this fuzzy cream faux lamb coat and do not miss out on this regal military inspired coat. I’m obsessed with all things military right now and know it will continue being a huge trend well into the spring. Shop even more coats on sale (like this vibrant burnt orange one) below!
When I’m home in NYC, especially during the winter months, you’ll usually find me in Lululemon pants, a cozy hoodie, Nikes, and a baseball cap. Unless of course I have a meeting, event, or fun dinner plans! My style has definitely gotten more casual over the past year. Comfort – especially when it comes to footwear – has become a huge priority since I walk sooooo much in the city. It’s been fun experimenting with my version of an “athleisure” look – and refining it with sleeker leggings or cool rose gold detailed sneakers like these. I now have my go-to items from athleisure brands like Nike, Lululemon, Adidas, and Alo and wanted to share them! I’ve bought a ton of sports bras and none of them compare to this one. It’s basic, affordable, and holds up after several washes, but I recommend sizing up. These are my favorite leggings for working out, and these are my favorite leggings to travel in. I love these sneakers for working out and everyday errands. For hoodies – I love this one for around my waist, or this one when it’s chilly out. This baseball cap is great for working out and you can throw it in the washing machine after a few uses. This cap is better for the airport/being out and about. In terms of bags – I have never been a gym bag person and prefer using the bag from my Gigi collection or this brown leather tote from Madewell which holds everything. Shop all of my picks below!
It’s the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale! This is always one of my favorite sales and I must say, the selection this year is the best one yet. Be sure to snap up pieces like this faux leather jacket for under $60, this cozy Nike sweatshirt, this easy tunic, and these classic black leather booties. For workouts – I love these dark grey leggings, these chic black sneakers, and this workout tank. I think one of the biggest bargains is this camel colored peacoat which is under $40! If you’re in need of a new pair of boots – I’m obsessed with the color of these brown knee boots (I just ordered a pair for myself), I love the chunky heel on these boots, and if you live in cold weather then these boots are 100% essential. If you need a simple black coat for everyday, I am loving this one. This is categorized as a flannel nightshirt but I’d totally wear it to the airport, on a winter getaway, or around my waist for a sporty weekend look. My lariat gold necklace is easily one of my favorite jewelry items and I am eyeing this one to have as a backup! This sexy lace choker necklace will add a little extra something to a simple outfit. And if you’re in need of a new bag – I adore this neutral, quality cross body. Shop more of my picks (including this pretty blush shirtdress) below!
Ok so maybe you’ve waited ’til the very last minute to buy gifts. Not to fret! I’m the biggest procrastinator and do every single year ;) Here are 11 No-Fail gifts that I have and love. My Swell water bottle comes EVERYWHERE with me. It’s great for the gym, trips, and running errands. I used this Polaroid at my birthday last weekend and everyone loved being able to take silly pictures and a little memento home with them. This cosmetic case comes in a variety of colors but the pink is gorgeous and will be easy to spot in a big purse. This Jonathan Adler jewelry dish is such a pretty way to store business cards, rings, or keys. The Louis Vuitton City Guides are perfect for the girl who has it all – she can plan her next getaway and have all the insider tips in major cities like Paris, London, NYC, LA, and Tokyo to name a few. This calendar would look fab on any desk and these coasters are my go-to hostess gift – you really can’t go wrong with ’em! A few other things I suggest are these Miansai bracelets for the guy in your life, Ina Garten’s new book “Cooking with Jeffrey” for your mom or mother in law, and if you’re splurging – than this Dyson blowdryer. My hair stylist in NYC uses it and raves about it – it’s going on my wish list this year.
