Early Spring Favorites

Happy Friday!  These past few weeks have been such a whirlwind for me.  I am counting down the days until my new house is ready to move into!  I’ve been living out of boxes for almost 3 weeks now and my stuff is strewn everywhere…it is not a pretty picture haha.  You may have seen a sneak peek of my kitchen on Instagram.  It’s one of my favorite parts of my home and I’ve been dreaming about all of the fun wine + cheese nights and homemade meals that I’ll be able to enjoy in it.  I’ve been using my dad’s spiralizer to make homemade zucchini noodles and let me tell you – that thing is a game changer!  The weather has been in the 70s all week here in Scottsdale, so I wore my new favorite dress and sandals.  With Spring right around the corner I’m starting to freshen up my wardrobe with pieces like this flowy white skirt, this light leather jacket, and these neutral slides.  I’m heading to Mexico City for one of my biggest collaborations to date in a few weeks and will be packing this straw tote, this military jacket and this sexy red dress for dinner at our hotel.  I also have my eye on these gold sandals and this easy stripe button down.    I promise there will be new outfit posts next week!!  Have a wonderful weekend.  xx

Valentine's Day Luxuries
West Village, NY

Whether you’re single or in a relationship this Valentine’s Day, I say listen to Elizabeth Taylor and “Pour yourself a drink, put on some lipstick, and pull yourself together.” Oh, and buy a box truffles (ahem, these!) while you’re at it.  Like I’ve mentioned in past posts, Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to treat yourself to luxuries like a new shade of lipstick, a pretty bracelet, a yummy smelling candle, or even a dozen roses…  I’m personally not much of a lipstick girl (I prefer this lipgloss in C-Thru) but I am LOVING this nude lipstick kit from MAC.  This bubble bath is heavenly, this almond coconut body cream is my favorite, and this body polish leaves my skin feeling ultra soft.  This dainty gold choker would be gorgeous with a black off the shoulder blouse – plus it’s under $40 – and this bracelet is splurge worthy.  If you’re in NYC and in need of dinner reservations – I recommend Palma (for a charming, neighborhood Italian vibe), Vandal (for a more lively scene), or Rubirosa (if you’re over Valentine’s day and just want the best pizza in town.)  I’ll be spending Valentine’s Day in my hometown this year and am working on a super special post that will be up this week – stay tuned!

Thank you all so much for your sweet comments on Wednesday’s post.  I was tearing up reading through them and truly appreciate the well wishes.  January seemed to fly by and now that we’re in February, I’m finding myself craving pieces that can easily transition from winter to spring.  I love the raw hem and relaxed cut on these skinny jeans.  I’ve been leaning towards a looser skinny jean lately for pure comfort reasons (I may have indulged a bit too much over the holidays…whoops) and also because the “relaxed cropped jean” trend is having a major moment right now (see for yourself.)  I would wear them paired with a simple sandal or short bootie during the day, and tuck them into these classic brown boots at night.  You can’t go wrong with a black and white stripe sweater – it’s always in style and my favorite thing to travel in.  My old one legit has holes in it from years of wear and tear, so it’s time to replace it with this one.  Everyone seems to be talking about Beauty Dust and I admit I’m quite the guinea pig when it comes to the latest and greatest health advances so I’ll be trying it this week.  Have you ever tried it/what did you think?  These mirrored sunnies are amazing for the days when you don’t want to wear makeup and are doing an early AM coffee run or workout – plus they’re only $50.  This faux shearling jacket would be ideal for chilly mornings paired with a black beanie.  This little handheld steamer is my #1 must have household item.  It’s under $30, heats up super fast, is compact/travel friendly and gets wrinkles out of anything.  “The Year of Cozy” book caught my eye while I was on Shopbop the other night and I think I need it since this is my year of nesting/re-decorating!  Have a wonderful weekend!

I’ve been doing a ton of online shopping this week thanks to gift cards I got for Christmas.  I just picked up this classic wrap trench which I can see myself wearing allllll the time (how perfect would it be to travel in?  Just throw it over jeans and a soft white T!)  I’m eyeing this beautiful brown handbag from Zac Posen.  I have one of his smaller handbags and am super impressed with the quality.  This scarf is under $40 and would look so cute tied around the handle.  I love the lace up detail on this sweater and the cut out sleeves on this blouse.  It also comes in black which would look great tucked into a camel pencil skirt.  If you still haven’t bought a 2017 planner – I recommend this one from Gigi New York!  My mom loves this lipgloss because it lasts all day – it’s the only one she wears.  The color of this sweater dress is such a pretty camel shade and it’s under $100.  I think I need these simple gold stacking rings…maybe even a set for each hand!  And I may just have to pull the trigger on these Aquazzura lace up sandals for spring…

Happy Monday!  I shot a really fun Valentine’s Day themed post over the weekend that I can’t wait to share with you.  If you watch my instastories then you may have gotten a sneak peek!  The shoot made me so excited about the upcoming holiday.  Growing up, my mom always made a big deal out of Valentine’s Day.  She would place beautiful arrangements of red and pink roses throughout our house, bake heart shaped cookies with colorful sprinkles, and put together gift baskets of chocolates and jewelry for my sister and I.  I love that tradition and have tried to continue it for myself every year.  This Valentine’s Day, treat yourself to something special like this polish set or this Charlotte Tilbury lipstick that one of my girlfriends is obsessed with.  Upgrade your PJ game with this uber soft nightshirt and silk eye mask.  Splurge on a classic pair of nude Louboutin pumps.  Dress up a plain white T and boyfriend jeans with this fun pink vest.  Slip on something sexy like this dainty For Love & Lemons bra.  I just ordered these cute heart shaped cookie cutters and these pearl earrings that will go with everything.  They’re so classic!
