My Closet + Spring Cleaning Tips
West Village, NY

Ahhh Spring!  A time of rebirth and renewal!  It’s a time to clean out those closets and make room for new energy and new pieces that will give you that extra pep in your step.  I’m getting nostalgic looking back at these pictures of my old closet.  This closet was a special place – it was where a lot of brainstorming and some serious outfit planning went down.  Before I moved, I got rid of a ton of pieces!  A few of  you have been asking me to do a closet sale since I’m cleaning out my wardrobe again – and it’s something I will definitely consider. ;)  If you haven’t already read the book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up I highly recommend you doing so.  It’s all about decluttering your space to help make room for inspiration and creativity.  For closet storage – I love these Ikea bookshelves and this rolling rack.  You can’t go wrong with fun wicker baskets for scarves, bathing suits, and belts.  Keep old shoe boxes and use them as storage for odds + ends.  Toss plastic hangers and order these velvet non slip ones.  Organize your clothes by season and buy under the bed storage bins or consider renting a small storage unit if necessary (I used Box Butler in NYC and had a great experience – and no this isn’t sponsored!)  Donate or consign anything you haven’t worn in a year (I loved Second Time Around consignment store.)  And finally the wardrobe mantra I live by; invest in classic pieces you’ll have for years to come!  Less is more – quality over quantity.

Shopbop Sale

TGIF!  I’ve been slowly but surely unpacking from Mexico.  My closet is currently bursting at the seams so I need to do a little spring cleaning this weekend.  Especially because the new pieces I scored on sale at Shopbop just came!  I’m obsessed with this green drapey trench for spring, this white vest to layer over dresses or tanks, and this light leather jacket.  This dress is ideal for everyday, and this dress would be gorgeous for date night.  The Shopbop sale is going on for 1 more day only so be sure to take advantage!  Take 15% off orders of $200+, 20% off orders of $500+, and 25% off orders of $800+.  Shop my must have picks below (including this swimsuit, this pom pom tote, these suede lace up sandals and these sunnies.)

Early Spring Favorites

Happy Friday!  These past few weeks have been such a whirlwind for me.  I am counting down the days until my new house is ready to move into!  I’ve been living out of boxes for almost 3 weeks now and my stuff is strewn everywhere…it is not a pretty picture haha.  You may have seen a sneak peek of my kitchen on Instagram.  It’s one of my favorite parts of my home and I’ve been dreaming about all of the fun wine + cheese nights and homemade meals that I’ll be able to enjoy in it.  I’ve been using my dad’s spiralizer to make homemade zucchini noodles and let me tell you – that thing is a game changer!  The weather has been in the 70s all week here in Scottsdale, so I wore my new favorite dress and sandals.  With Spring right around the corner I’m starting to freshen up my wardrobe with pieces like this flowy white skirt, this light leather jacket, and these neutral slides.  I’m heading to Mexico City for one of my biggest collaborations to date in a few weeks and will be packing this straw tote, this military jacket and this sexy red dress for dinner at our hotel.  I also have my eye on these gold sandals and this easy stripe button down.    I promise there will be new outfit posts next week!!  Have a wonderful weekend.  xx

Valentine's Day Luxuries
West Village, NY

Whether you’re single or in a relationship this Valentine’s Day, I say listen to Elizabeth Taylor and “Pour yourself a drink, put on some lipstick, and pull yourself together.” Oh, and buy a box truffles (ahem, these!) while you’re at it.  Like I’ve mentioned in past posts, Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to treat yourself to luxuries like a new shade of lipstick, a pretty bracelet, a yummy smelling candle, or even a dozen roses…  I’m personally not much of a lipstick girl (I prefer this lipgloss in C-Thru) but I am LOVING this nude lipstick kit from MAC.  This bubble bath is heavenly, this almond coconut body cream is my favorite, and this body polish leaves my skin feeling ultra soft.  This dainty gold choker would be gorgeous with a black off the shoulder blouse – plus it’s under $40 – and this bracelet is splurge worthy.  If you’re in NYC and in need of dinner reservations – I recommend Palma (for a charming, neighborhood Italian vibe), Vandal (for a more lively scene), or Rubirosa (if you’re over Valentine’s day and just want the best pizza in town.)  I’ll be spending Valentine’s Day in my hometown this year and am working on a super special post that will be up this week – stay tuned!
