Happy Friday! It’s been so beautiful here in Venice Beach and I was out and about all week catching up with friends, taking meetings, and trying new restaurants. If you watch my instastories you know that I had a very funny dinner guest last night (a pig!) LOL Anyways, I’ve been wearing this dress nonstop since it came in the mail. The photo really doesn’t do it justice – it’s dreamy in person. I love this suede jacket and you can’t beat the price! How simple and chic are these nude slides? This is such a great cosmetic case to travel with. Treat yourself to a coconut milk bath and a fun red polish. Spruce up your pad with a few new coffee table books – this one is a fave. Shop more of my picks from this week below (like this fab gold card case) – and enjoy your weekend!
This week has flown by hasn’t it?! I had a ton of fun meetings in Venice and West Hollywood earlier in the week and am in Antigua for the rest of the week/weekend. I packed all of my most colorful kaftans and sundresses for the trip and they inspired this week’s Currently Coveting post! I wish I had seen these sandals and this tote before I left – they would have been perfect! How cute is this stripe shirtdress? Wouldn’t it look great with these studded heels? I just ordered this jumpsuit and can’t wait to wear it when I get back into town. FYI I went a size up for a more casual fit. For a natural looking, gradual tan I recommend this lotion. I’m not usually a fan of pink nail polish but this shade is really pretty for spring. These earrings are under $100 and this necklace is super similar to the one I wore in Monday’s post (although I may even like this one more!)
One of my favorite online shopping destinations; Net-A-Porter is having a secret sale and offering all US customers 10% off their entire site with code SPRING! Net-A-Porter always has the most dreamy, lust worthy clothes, shoes, handbags, and accessories. Not to mention, they never miss a beat when it comes to carrying the latest/greatest beauty products and supplements. Here are a few of my must have items as well as pieces that are on my wish list… This navy off the shoulder dress is perfect for warm spring days, this stripe shirtdress would be great to wear to the office with a blazer or trench, and I couldn’t resist ordering this dress for my trip to Antigua next week. This is the dress I wore in my instastory yesterday (it’s so soft and easy!) paired with these sandals. These are the most comfortable heels I own – I can literally wear them all day long. I’ve talked about my love for these sunnies before – and with the 10% off they are a screaming deal! These Chanel coffee table books would look so pretty on any desk and this tote is ideal for an upcoming spring getaway. You can’t go wrong with a neutral clutch like this (for weddings and cocktail parties!) and this is my favorite bucket bag.
TGIF! Here are a few things I’m loving this week! I’m really starting to feel at home here in Venice and discovering new places everyday. It’s been so fun sharing life updates with you guys through my instastories – more to come! Have a wonderful weekend. xx
Ahhh Spring! A time of rebirth and renewal! It’s a time to clean out those closets and make room for new energy and new pieces that will give you that extra pep in your step. I’m getting nostalgic looking back at these pictures of my old closet. This closet was a special place – it was where a lot of brainstorming and some serious outfit planning went down. Before I moved, I got rid of a ton of pieces! A few of you have been asking me to do a closet sale since I’m cleaning out my wardrobe again – and it’s something I will definitely consider. ;) If you haven’t already read the book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up I highly recommend you doing so. It’s all about decluttering your space to help make room for inspiration and creativity. For closet storage – I love these Ikea bookshelves and this rolling rack. You can’t go wrong with fun wicker baskets for scarves, bathing suits, and belts. Keep old shoe boxes and use them as storage for odds + ends. Toss plastic hangers and order these velvet non slip ones. Organize your clothes by season and buy under the bed storage bins or consider renting a small storage unit if necessary (I used Box Butler in NYC and had a great experience – and no this isn’t sponsored!) Donate or consign anything you haven’t worn in a year (I loved Second Time Around consignment store.) And finally the wardrobe mantra I live by; invest in classic pieces you’ll have for years to come! Less is more – quality over quantity.
