A Classic Sweater Dress

I’ve been looking for the perfect sweater dress for a while, and I finally found it!!! Seriously though, I am verrrry particular about sweater dresses. The fabric can’t be too sheer or thin, and it also can’t be super thick or bulky. It has to lay comfortably against my frame, and also look cute with over the knee boots. This one fits the bill and is under $15! A Classic Sweater DressA classic sweater dress can be styled a zillion different ways! This one from Walmart’s fashion section comes in several colors; taupe, black, gray, blue, burgundy. It runs a bit big, so you can absolutely size down (or just throw it in the dryer and shrink it a bit!) You can wear it with over the knee boots, or slippers around the house. You can throw on a cool houndstooth coat over it for a tailored look, or a teddy coat for a cozy vibe. And you can even pair it with a faux fur vest or leather jacket. My girlfriend just bought this leopard coat and said it is amazingggg in person – it would look beautiful with a black sweater dress! Cozy Winter StaplesIf you’re looking for a casual cowl neck sweater, you can’t go wrong this one from Time and Tru. I own several pieces from the Time and Tru collection at Walmart and am constantly impressed. You may remember this simple draped cardigan I wear all the time from there! If you’re looking for a good winter bootie, I wore these black faux snakeskin ones all winter. What’s nice is I didn’t have to worry about them getting wet or snowed on, and for how high the heel is, they’re actually really easy to walk in! I just saw these light brown knee high boots pop up at the Scoop collection at Walmart and am thinking of ordering them next! Shop my entire look below! Holidays At Home

This year we are so excited to spend Christmas in our new home. I’ve had so much fun decorating every space for the holidays! I’m thrilled to be partnering with one of my favorite brands; Pottery Barn, to share cozy holiday pieces for your home, as well as a few beautiful gift ideas for loved ones! Holidays At Home Holiday Bar One of the first furniture pieces I ordered for our home was actually this stunning vintage looking trunk which acts as our bar in the living room. It’s so well made and I know I will have it forever! If you’re looking to accessorize your bar or give the man in your life some new bar tools, this dark bar tool set is really fun, as well as this ice bucket, and shaker to match. I also love this silver bar tool set and ice bucket – so elegant! You also can’t go wrong with these thick, hammered glass stemless wine glasses or white marble coasters. And how nice is this decanter that you can personalize with a monogram? Cozy Essentials For cozy nights in, give someone you love a plush Pottery Barn blanket or robe. Their faux fur blanket is the best, and this short plush robe is great for chilly mornings. I’ve been obsessed with these super oversized mugs for hot cocoa and soup (would make a great gift) and slippers to wear around the house. Gifts For Everyone A few other gift ideas that anyone in your life would love… I can never have enough coffee table books, and Pottery Barn carries so many wonderful ones, including this Architectural Digest book, this Louis Vuitton book (have this in my office!), and this Tom Ford book. You can’t go wrong gifting a deluxe Scrabble board, and how chic is this terra cotta bowl for fruit on the counter? This whiskey set would be great for the man in your life! Decor For Your Home While you’re buying gifts for everyone else, why not pick up a few things for yourself and your home? ;) I’m buying this faux olive tree for when we take our Christmas tree down. This gold picture frame will be perfect to put on my nightstand with a special engagement photo. I love displaying a coffee table book on this simple display. And many of you have been asking about my fireplace screen – this one is identical! I just ordered this fireplace tool set to match. Shop more of my favorite gifts from Pottery Barn below!

Easy Everyday Fall Style

It’s been such a beautiful fall season, so I’ve been able to get away with wearing cozy cardigans like this on warm days! I’ve been taking my dad all over Connecticut and it’s been so nice exploring new towns together. We recently went to New Preston which was a bit of a drive, but so worth checking out. I can’t wait to add these spots to my Travel app! Easy Everyday Fall StyleClassic Beige CardiganI’ve been looking for the perfect beige cardigan forever and found this one from Walmart’s Fashion section for under $12! It is the prettiest taupe color and layers so well over everything. I took my normal size, but if you want a more fitted look, you could size down in it! It would look so pretty over a slip dress, or paired with a slip skirt too. I just ordered this pink slip skirt and it’s even more gorgeous in person. Best Grey Skinny JeansI paired it with this chunky turtleneck from Scoop’s collection at Walmart. I’ve been buying pieces from this collection for the past year and am continually impressed with them. These dark grey jeans are also Scoop and have just the right amount of stretch. They’re a mid to high rise and fit like a glove. Over The Knee Boots Under $50Can we talk about these over the knee boots?!! You may have seen me share them on my IG stories… they are AMAZING. I was so impressed when they came in the mail. They’re comfortable, don’t slip down when you walk, and you’d never know they’re faux suede. The best part is they’re only $44!!! If you’re looking for a leopard coat – this one is really chic. And this sweater dress is so flattering. Shop more affordable fashion finds from Walmart below!

Casual Holiday Outfit Ideas

This year we decided to decorate for Christmas way earlier than usual! My dad is in town for the next 2 weeks and I’m so excited to show him around our new area. Thomas and I picked up wreaths at a little garden shop called Town & Country in Wilton. They have a great selection of greenery if you’re nearby! I went a bit overboard and got wreaths for every window outside of the house! I’ve been seeing other people do that in our neighborhood and it just adds so much warmth to the home. Casual Holiday Outfit IdeasFaux Leather LeggingsTo pick up our Christmas greenery, I wore these faux leather leggings. They’ve got a good amount of stretch, but don’t slip down when you sit or walk (which is KEY!) They’re from Nordstrom’s BP line and are under $50. I recommend getting your normal size. They have just the right amount of shine (not too much, not too little where they are matte!) Can you tell I’m picky about my faux leather leggings?! Cozy Thermal HenleyI threw on this cute thermal henley with the leggings. It’s a top I know I’ll be wearing all year long. I love the more cropped/boxy fit. It’s sporty and casual. It would also look really cute over a silky slip dress in the spring with white sneakers! I like to wear it with sweatpants around the house too. Winter BootsThese boots are from a few seasons ago, but I really love these, and you can’t go wrong with these. If you’ve been looking for a tan suede bootie these ones are so classic. More Cute + Casual Pieces For WinterNordstrom carries soooo many incredible brands in house which you can find under their Nordstrom Made section. I wear this nightgown every night. It always sells out, so I buy 2-3 at a time!!! These sweatpants are DIVINE and I live in them pretty much all week long. This fringe cream cardigan is so chic and I can see myself wearing it all shades of ivory/white. Not clothing, but this cheese board is kind of perfect isn’t it?! See more of my favorite easy, casual pieces for the holiday season below!
