Happy Friday! I am so excited to share a summer tablescape I created for Amanda of Fashionable Hostess. For those of you who don’t know – Amanda is one of my very best friends and the visionary behind Fashionable Hostess, which features beautiful tablescapes, recipes, decor and entertaining tips. Amanda and I met over 6 years ago when we were both working in the fashion PR industry and our blogs were just a few months old. I love thinking back and remembering those early days of working full time and trying to grow my blog. I took every opportunity to network – sneaking away to meetings during my lunch break, attending events, dinners and parties after work (to subtly pass out my business card!), and then coming home and blogging until midnight. It’s amazing to see how much we’ve both grown and progressed since then. For this summer dinner tablescape, I couldn’t resist incorporating bright pink peonies since they’re currently in season. I went to The Original Los Angeles Flower Market in Downtown LA to pick up the blooms and arranged them in 3 different size vases. I used vintage blue and white china I picked up at John Derian antique shop in the West Village, and white plates and glasses from Hudson Grace. The gold flatware and cake plate are from Canvas Home and the monogram napkins are Lettermade. I always like to mix classic and traditional pieces with modern ones so the table doesn’t feel too stuffy. A great cheese plate is a must at any party – and so is a delicious crisp rosé and vodka cocktail! I picked up gluten free crackers (these are my fave) a brie, a gouda, and a parmesan cheese, dried figs and marcona almonds for the cheese plate. You can see more of my decor posts here. Have a wonderful long weekend!

I love the display and your dress is exquisite. You look amazing as always Kat. M xx
I purchased the Natalie Martin dress and I was wondering if you altered your dress in someway because mine came as a wrap dress and your dress doesn’t look like a wrap dress. And also the ties on the sleeves did you have those removed? Thank you!
Hi!
I purchased the dress in a small boutique in Venice so you may want to go through the Natalie Martin website if you want the exact same one :) Mine did not have ties on the sleeves.
xx

Hi Kat! I love how your home is coming along – so beautiful! Would you please share the diameter of your table. 35″ or 42″? I’m trying to get a size perspective for my home. Thank you!
