Florence

Florence is one of the most romantic cities in the world. The intricate architecture, rich history, and savory food (the pasta! the gelato!) will leave you mesmerized. Spend the day admiring the iconic Duomo, Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi Gallery. Then do a little shopping along Via de Tornabuoni. End your day with rooftop drinks at the Excelsior, but not before enjoying dinner at either Locale or Golden View. If you have a few extra days - I recommend heading to the Chianti countryside which is only a short drive away. I'm already plotting my next trip back!

Gelato at La Carraia

I can't resist enjoying a scoop of gelato every time I'm in Italy. Head to La Carraia for some of the best gelato in the world.

Wander down from the Ponte Vecchio and head to the Uffizi Gallery, which is one of the world's most infamous art museums with pieces from da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Botticelli.

When I think of Florence, I think of the iconic, stunning Ponte Vecchio. Regardless of the time of day or season, it's a beautiful spot to visit for a walk, a picture opportunity, and just to take a moment and soak in Florence.

The breathtaking Duomo is a must see while in Florence (you can't really miss it!). You could stare at the intricacy of the exterior for hours, but I recommend going early in the morning and waiting in line to go to the top where the view is... well, I'll let you see for yourself!
