Hello from beautiful Mexico! I am so honored to be here shooting with the New York Times in collaboration with Visit Mexico. After flying into Mexico City on Monday night, we took a smaller plane a few hours away to a town called San Cristobal de las Casas in Chiapas. The town is soooo charming and authentic – every house is painted a different color and the local people have been nothing but welcoming. We’ve had a packed itinerary so far and I’ve been able to explore the Zincatan community and Templo de Santo Domingo which dates back to the 1600s. One of my favorite parts of the trip was being able to go inside a local woman’s home and watch her hand embroider intricate textiles for pillows and tunics. I couldn’t leave without picking up a colorful tunic for myself! The hotel we’re staying at is super modern and new, but has a rustic and bohemian vibe (which I looove.) A ton of you were messaging me about it on Instagram – FYI it’s called Hotel Bo. I wore this colorful Spell & The Gypsy dress (they make the prettiest dresses) and this wide brimmed straw Janessa Leone hat that I picked up right before my trip. My Mansur Gavriel bucket bag has been the best travel companion. I’ve been able to fit my humongous camera and all of my necessities in there. This is the camera I shoot with – I can’t recommend it enough!
Mansur Gavriel bag (also love this one) | Capri sandals (similar)
Love the scenery … such wonderful colours of life. And you look fabulous and gorgeous as alwYs! :)

Beautiful pictures! Love how you captured the colors of Mexico
Hi Kat! I’m glad you’re having a great time in México, you look stunning in the photos as always! I just wanted to help you clarify something – Chiapas is the name of the state, and where you were is the beautiful town of San Cristobal de las Casas. It is beautiful and I hope you enjoyed it. I am Mexican and I feel honored that you visit our country, hoping that you feel as welcome as I feel when I visit other places. I just think a clarification would be useful for your readers if they ever want to visit. Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip, and thank you for always being such an inspiration.
Thank you for sharing Ana! Your country is incredible!!!! XO
