I’ve been rotating all of my favorite fall hats as of late…and this little black beret has been on major repeat! Fall is one of the seasons I most look forward to dressing for because there are so many accessory possibilities. Beanies, baseball hats, berets, fedoras, newsboy caps, chunky scarves, leather booties, fur vests…the list goes on. In terms of bags – you know how much I am LOVING bucket bags. This Simon Miller bag is a classic and the tortoise handles give it that cool 70s Jackie O flare. I paired it with my Mother denim skinny jeans that just went on sale (btw if you’re not familiar with Mother – get familiar – they are the most comfortable and flattering jeans), a lace up blouse, and this linen Sandro coat from a few seasons ago. I love re-wearing and re-styling items I’ve had for years and years. Some of my most beloved items are 6+ years old. My philosophy with fashion has always been invest in classic pieces you’ll have for years to come, less is more, and quality over quantity. I love to mix something from Topshop with something from Valentino. And I tend to veer away from trends or impulse buys (although who doesn’t love a little retail therapy!?) I think that’s why I’m such a fan of neutrals – because they go with everything and can be mixed/matched to create countless outfits! What is your style philosophy? Are you into more fast fashion pieces, investment pieces you’ll have for years to come – or a combination of both? I’d love to know!
