White Jeans Two Ways

Every woman needs a few pairs of white jeans in her closet. They’re such a versatile pant and can be styled countless ways. I personally own 4 pairs; 1 pair of white skinny jeans, 1 pair of white distressed jeans, 1 pair of white corduroy pants, and 1 pair of white wide leg jeans (as seen here.) I LOVE a wide leg pant, and cannot even begin to tell you how obsessed I am with these. The perfect white jeanI picked these white jeans up a month ago at Banana Republic and have already worn them 10 times – no joke. They’re GORGEOUS on. They’re the perfect creamy white shade, made of a nice thick stretchy denim. In addition, the wide leg/slight flare cut makes you look tall and lanky!!! They’re not too flared like many other wide leg pants I’ve tried on, and I didn’t have to get them altered at all (I’m a little over 5’6″.) *They also offer them in petite, tall, and short sizing! I’ve worn them with a simple tank and leather jacket, a chunky sweater and coat, a trench and white button down, a turtleneck, a silk blouse and blazer, and a simple white T and leather belt. They’re a mid rise so they really suck everything in and look especially amazing when you wear a bodysuit!!! I found that they ran true to size for me, but if you’re in between sizes I recommend sizing down because of the stretchy material. PS they’re under $100! Elegant spring coatsMy fingers are crossed that the worst of winter is behind us! I am SO ready for spring! These beautiful coats I’m wearing here are double faced and made of a light wool blend which makes them so soft and warm. They’re the perfect winter to spring transition coat, and feel WAY more expensive than they are. Seriously though – I am so impressed with the quality. I am wearing a size small here and like that I’m able to layer a chunky sweater comfortably underneath, but also still look chic when I want to wear a more fitted top. If you’re in between sizes and want a more fitted look, size down. This style is so popular that it comes in 5 other colors; mint, lilac, yellow, hot pink, and a stunning red. Luxe basicsUnderneath my coats, I’m wearing a Banana Republic cream sweater and long sleeve bodysuit. This cream sweater is so dreamy and comes in several other colors. I like that it’s not too thick and not too thin (I’m personally not a fan of tissue thin sweaters!) This bodysuit is THE BEST and I own it in black as well. It’s my go-to travel top and just feels sooooo good on. I layer it under everything. Major plus is that it’s a thong cut which not enough bodysuits are! It also comes in a v-neck cut which I have my eye on. For under $40 you can’t really go wrong. Favorites from Banana RepublicI get SO many great pieces, especially outerwear pieces, from Banana Republic every year. A few other pieces I have my eye on right now are; this utility jacket, this sherpa bomber and this hoodie (both so cute for after yoga), and these cute light wash distressed skinny jeans. Oh, and if you’re in the market for a classic leather jacket do not hesitate to get this one. It’s the one leather jacket I wear ALL the time, and I’ve had it for 6+ years. I get the most compliments and questions on it still to this day. It’s a timeless, staple piece that you won’t regret. So shop more of my favorites from Banana Republic below!

Cozy Loungewear

Thomas and I had a relaxing Valentine’s Day at home yesterday. He cooked me dinner and we indulged in one too many treats! It was so nice to unwind together after a busy week. I wore this cozy loungewear for our romantic night in. Cozy LoungewearThis grey cardigan is SO reasonable (it’s under $8!!!) and comes in several colors. It’s made of such a nice, thick material and drapes perfectly. My pet peeve with long cardigans is when they don’t stay on your shoulders, are too thin, or get stretched out. This one stays put and is really good quality! It’s from a line that I buy a ton of my cozy loungewear from; Walmart Fashion’s Time and Tru collection. All of the pieces are so classic, affordable, and high quality. Classic DenimI’ve always loved a stretchy, mid rise skinny jean. They’re so flattering and when you find ones like these black ones – you never want to take them off! I can’t wear low rise jeans anymore – they just aren’t practical for my lifestyle (I’m always bending over to pick up Charlie!) and stretch is a necessity! A few other jeans I like are; these light wash ones, these ripped hem ones, and these light grey distressed ones. Also be sure to check out this page for even more denim styles! Henley T-shirtsI bought 3 of these cotton henley t-shirts because I knew I would wear them all the time. The short sleeve white one I’m wearing here is my FAVE. I also got it in the long sleeve version, and the tan color. It’s a great basic that you can layer or wear alone. I know I’ll wear this short sleeve one all spring/summer long. Spring Transition PiecesSpeaking of spring, Walmart Fashion has a ton of cute items for the upcoming season (which I am COUNTING DOWN until!) I love that their SCOOP collection always has classic yet on trend pieces that I can easily mix and match. I just ordered this white v-neck sweater, this elegant paisley skirt, and this chic sweater tank. Shearling Coat in Soho

Happy Friday!!!! I cannot believe Thanksgiving is almost here… like where did November go?! This happens every single year – the holidays fly by, and before you know it, it’s Christmas! It seems like everyone I know has already started their Christmas shopping, and I have yet to even start AHHH! I’m on a mission this weekend and next week to get at least halfway through my list ;) Best Winter CoatsIf you are looking for no-fail, quality, unique gifts – be sure to check out the Nordstrom Made section. It’s FULL of exclusive brands you won’t find anywhere else. This coat is from my friend Rachel Parcell’s collection with Nordstrom and let me tell you, it is so beautifully made. It’s made of a soft faux shearling material that you would never know was faux because it feels so luxurious and plush. It runs true to size, although if you are on the shorter side/petite I would size down. I’m actually thinking of getting this coat for my sister for Christmas because she’s been looking for a pretty winter white/cream jacket for over a year now!!! What I love about this coat is that you can dress it up or down – I can easily wear it with a black velvet jumpsuit, sparkly dress for date night, or jeans and a cozy sweater like I did here for running errands and weekend outings. Also love this lighter version if you live in warmer temps! Cozy SweatersI am obsessed with all of the sweaters from Chelsea28 which are also exclusive to Nordstrom. They’re all SO reasonably priced, come in the best colors, and ideal to buy for yourself or loved ones. Who doesn’t need another classic sweater for winter?! In addition to the sweater I’m wearing, I also ordered this DREAMY cashmere cream sweater, and this turtleneck. Stretchy Skinny JeansThese faded black wash jeans are super stretchy and come with this chic gold button. Stretchy denim is honestly key for me at this point. I cannot bother with tight, stiff jeans anymore!!! I like to be able to move and eat in ’em you know? FYI I found these jeans to run a size big, so I would size down because they do have a lot of stretch in them. Fun Holiday OutfitsIf you’re looking for fun holiday outfit ideas – I just bought these red pants from the Halogen x Atlantic Pacific collection and can’t recommend them enough! They’re such a vibrant shade and look great with a red sweater and camel coat draped over the shoulders, or even just a cream silky blouse. I also love this velvet cami and this sequin pencil skirt. Gift IdeasAnd for gift ideas – I love this faux croc bag (looks so much more expensive than it is), this chic black clutch, this wallet on a chain, these leather touch screen gloves, this marble + wood cutting board (this always sells out every year so get it before it does!), this cozy blanket, and this pretty wine stopper.

July 4th Style

I’m heading to Nantucket this weekend and Connecticut next week for July 4th and wanted to share a few things I’ll be packing! For Dresses… Of course they are both from Reformation ;) I just bought this red floral dress and am OBSESSED with the color and pattern. I now have my eye on this dainty printed blue dress. And For Shoes… I love these Madewell lace up sandals. They’re affordable and have held up season after season for me. They come in 3 different color ways. Since Nantucket is so casual, I don’t want to bring stilettos, so I’m packing these block sandals from Sole Society. Next, For The Beach… I’m bringing my favorite AGolde denim cut offs, this leopard bikini (also love the pattern and cut of this one), and these aviator sunglasses. I also love this beach tote which just went on sale. I just ordered the perfect coverup/kimono for the beach followed by a late lunch. Finally, For Accessories… How gorgeous are these earrings? Don’t they look way more expensive than they are?! You can’t go wrong with this Julie Vos long gold coin pendant, and this Rag + Bone straw hat which just went on sale here. I can’t forget my go-to Staud net mesh bag which comes everywhere with me in the summer. It works for day or night, and holds a ton without looking bulky/big. Shop more of my July 4th style must-haves below – Like this red nail polish, this scarf top, this bandana, and this scallop bikini.
