A Lightweight Summer Trench Coat

It’s been rainy and humid all week in NYC so I’ve been wearing this lightweight trench coat from ba&sh over everything. I love the draped cut, classic buttons, and taupe color which looks good on every skin tone. I have several trench coats, but this is one of my favorites for summer because it’s so breathable and loose. There are a ton of lightweight summer trench coats on the market, and if you don’t already own one; I highly recommend investing in this versatile piece of outerwear. Pair it with a little white dress, black slip dress, jeans, a travel look, even sweats, you name it. This ba&sh one is a bit of a splurge, but I also really like this one, this one and this one. I love pairing a trench coat with white denim. These are such a great pair of distressed white denim jeans from none other than L’Agence. They’re a high waisted cut, with just the right amount of rips. I also love these white jeans with a frayed edge and no rips in case you’re not into knee rips. I recently bought this T by Alexander Wang tank and am so impressed with the quality. It’s made of a super thick cotton, with ribbed edges, and cut on the shorter side so it’s flattering when you tuck it into tight jeans. It’s simple and chic – and can be paired with everything from a leather pencil skirt to white denim like I did here, blue jeans, or even a beige trouser. If you’re ever stumped on what to wear; you can pretty much never go wrong with the combo of a trench, skinny jeans, and a stripe T. Shop my entire outfit below. Enjoy your weekend!

Pink Silk Blazer

I just got back from the Hamptons and I feel so refreshed after 2 days at the beach. I’ll be uploading my new favorite spots to my Travel App and links to everything I wore on Liketoknow.it. I packed these fun white lace up heels that I ordered a few weeks ago and wore them with this silk wrap dress from Reformation. Pink Silk Blazer LookI love the way white lace heels look with everything from dresses to jeans and a white T. This outfit has been my go-to look for showroom and PR meetings. This pink silk blazer is one of the only pink items I own – and I absolutely love it. It’s bright and cheery for spring/summer and looks polished but not overly formal. I also love this pink blazer and this one. This one is a splurge but gorgeous right?! These jeans are from Abercrombie and only $44. They have such a great selection of denim and it’s all insanely affordable. The washes and distressed details are on point. I’ll never tire of denim + a classic blazer together. It’s pretty much my uniform in the city during the week. I wore this white blazer with jeans last week, and this houndstooth blazer with black jeans the week prior. A Trench Coat Styled Two Ways

My love for a draped trench coat runs deep – and this one looks so much more expensive than it is! It’s the perfect piece to wear year-round and instantly pulls together any outfit. I love that it looks just as good paired over a dress as it does with skinny jeans. Speaking of skinny jeans – these are the comfiest white jeans everrrr – they’re from Walmart and under $20. They’re stretchy, flattering, and slightly cropped (although you can unroll them too) which I love. Walmart’s fashion section is full of affordable, staple pieces that are perfect for every day. I mean you cannot beat 2 cotton tanks for $4 and you NEED these Sam Edelman leather sandals for summer – trust me! I walked 30 blocks in them yesterday so I can fully attest to their quality and comfort! If you’re looking for a great straw tote for summer – I just bought this black one which also comes with longer shoulder straps (a major plus for this bag lady!) I love this faux leather travel duffle for weekend trips for under $25 and these classic black ballet flats. For easy spring/summer dresses I picked up this white eyelet dress, and this off the shoulder midi dress. Throw on a cool faux leather jacket over one of the dresses and these heels for a more date night look. These strappy black heels also come in red, grey, tan, and blue! A Draped Trench Coat For Spring

I looooove a draped trench coat.  I actually prefer a draped trench over a crisp, classic trench like my Burberry one.  For starters, they’re more comfortable to move around in, travel friendly – especially on long trips, and flow beautifully when you walk.  They look better than a stiff trench when paired with something like a tailored pant or a silk dress, and are easier to layer with since they’ve got more room. Theory makes some of the best trenches – and outerwear – on the market. Over the years I’ve invested in over 10 of their coats and each one still looks brand new.  I like to snag their pieces on sale at the end of a season, or whenever they’re having a special promotion!  The exact trench I’m wearing here is sadly sold out. But, they still have it in black here, and cream here (the cream is amazeeee!) If you’re in the market for a feminine, draped trench coat for spring, I love this one, this one and this one.  I just got this one from Banana Republic in olive green and can attest that the quality and fit are great.  If you’re in between sizes, size down – their outerwear runs big.  This is a beautiful trench coat under $100, and you can’t go wrong with this Club Monaco one. How to StyleI saw these oversized, distressed boyfriend jeans online months ago and was really intrigued to see if they would be cute on.  They’re definitely more of a masculine/grunge denim than I usually wear – but it’s kind of fun to have a pair like these hanging in your closet.  As much as I love wearing feminine pieces, you need to mix it up every once in a while!!!  These fit SO well and just feel good on so I kept them.  I liked the way they looked paired with this classic trench and can’t wait to wear them this spring/summer with T-shirts and short sleeve button downs.
