Shopbop Sale

There are so many goodies included in this year’s Shopbop fall sale! Get up to 25% off orders of $800+. Breaking down my picks by category below. Shopbop Sale Finds Sweaters It’s officially sweater season. The best sweaters are cashmere…and come with a hefty price tag, which is why this sale is the perfect time to stock up on luxurious pieces for fall. I love this grey cashmere v-neck, this taupe crewneck, this turtleneck, this sexy cutout sweater, and this beige v-neck under $100. Accessories Shopbop always carries a great selection of accessories. From bags, to shoes, belts, and jewelry. I LOVE this simple everyday woven bag. I own several Staud bags. And this dark brown one is beautiful for fall/winter. I just bought this belt over the summer – and it is even prettier in person (it’s legit the perfect brown leather belt.) This is a great dupe of the gold link chain ring I have (but it’s under $30!) For weekend trips or getaways, this clear cosmetic case is ideal. And you can’t go wrong with this chunky cashmere scarf. I own 2 from this brand and have to say, they’re by far my favorite cashmere scarves. Tops This Wolford turtleneck bodysuit is a staple in my wardrobe. It’s the easiest thing to slip on, and really does keep you warm while also being extremely flattering. This silk lace cami is a MUST – I own it in 4 colors, and it runs true to size. I adore this casual neutral colored button down. Summery Items Although it’s not summer in the states, you may be planning a warm weather trip soon – or live somewhere where it is warm year round. Here are a few of my vacation picks…this colorful floral dress, these denim shorts, this Hunza G swimsuit, this LWD, this black + yellow floral dress, this red cocktail dress (swoon!), and this white crop top. Shop the rest of my picks from the sale, like these simple white Madewell skinny jeans, these chic Alexandre Birman neutral sandals, and this stunning cashmere robe.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

By now you’ve probably seen and heard about the Nordstrom Anniversary sale 2020! I always love shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary sale because it’s full of classic, affordable pieces you can wear throughout the year. I rounded up my absolute top favorites below so it’s easy for you to shop the sale right from home! Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020 Picks I was honestly REALLY impressed with what was included in the sale this year. There are some SCREAMING deals, and a few things I couldn’t resist snapping up. Things always sell out really fast, so if you like something grab it quick! Boots My most worn pair of booties last year was a pair of white block heel booties. They literally go with everything and surprisingly stayed clean throughout rain, snow, and sleet. There are 3 pairs of white booties included in the sale that I am LOVING. These ones, these ones and these ones are all under $160. If you’re looking for a tan bootie, you can’t go wrong with these gorgeous faux croc ones. If you still don’t own a pair of Stuart Weitzman over the knee black boots, it’s worth investing in these. I’ve had them for 7+ years and am still just as obsessed. And if you need rain boots, these Hunter ones are great! Sweaters and Coats How dreamy is this cashmere camel sweater?! It would look amazing with white, black or blue jeans this fall. This is such a classic v-neck sweater and under $50. I am swooning over this cozy fleece jacket, also love the quarter zip version. This is a great zip up for running errands. If you’re looking for a cream teddy coat, this one looks really cute. Jeans and Skirts I’ve been a fan of PAIGE denim for years, and these light blue wash distressed ones are the perfect year round jean. I have a light pink and olive green silky midi skirt that I wear a TON and always get asked about. This pink one and this green one are almost identical if you’ve been wanting them! Other Items I’m Loving This paisley dress (reminds me of a Zimmermann dress!), these Quay cat eye sunglasses, these Hanky Panky thongs, this cozy robe, and this Rails white button down (I own in 3 colors) are all such great finds. Happy shopping!!!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

I’ve been baking wayyy more than usual and I’m not mad about it. Today I wanted to share the absolute BEST chocolate chip cookie recipe ever with you! I found this recipe years ago when I was living in LA, and have never looked back. It’s the only chocolate chip cookie recipe I’ll ever make! BEST Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe1 cup unsalted butter softened (2 sticks)1 cup white sugar1 cup brown sugar (dark or light doesn’t make a difference)2 eggs2 tsp vanilla extract1 tsp baking soda2 tsp hot water1/4 tsp salt3 cups all purpose flour2 cups chocolate chips FYI this makes A LOT of cookies, so I often halve the recipe. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg one by one, then stir in the vanilla. Dissolve the baking soda in the hot water and add to the batter. Stir in the salt, flour, and chocolate chips. (I like to make my own chocolate chips and cut my favorite chocolate bars into big chunky pieces!) Scoop spoonfuls onto a parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Enjoy! Cozy Outfit At HomeRemind me never to wear white again while baking with chocolate? LOL Luckily my pants made it out unscathed!!! Anyways, I’ve been living in sweatpants, so I thought I’d put on real pants for a few hours and it honestly felt so good. I felt more put together, but still comfortable. These white denim jeans from Walmart’s Fashion section have so much stretch to them and run true to size. I paired them with my favorite henley also from Walmart (they really do have the best basics!) I’m wearing a size small here. I love pairing a simple cardigan over a plain white T, and can’t say enough good things about this one. I own it in grey, black, and this taupe color. I’m also eyeing this pretty knit one for spring and summer. I love the look of a light knit over a white sundress. A few other pieces I love from Walmart’s Fashion section are this classic tote (I bought it for my sister’s bachelorette party over the summer and have gotten so much use out of it), these terry joggers, this casual hoodie, and these gorgeous gold lace up sandals. I also have my eye on this light blue floral dress and this fun denim jumpsuit.

Light Layers For Spring

It definitely feels like SPRING! I’ve been able to ditch my winter coats for the last 3 days and let me tell you, it’s been absolutely glorious. I feel like I’ve been weighed down by a heavy coat for the past 4 months!!! Instead of coats, I’ve been reaching for light trenches and safari/military inspired jackets like this one. I’ve always LOVED a military style jacket for spring and summer – and this one from Walmart’s Fashion section is a welcome addition to my closet. Military Jacket For SpringThis green military jacket is so versatile and can be worn with everything from jeans and a T, or a sundress. It looks really pretty specifically with a white linen dress, or even a floral bohemian dress. It’s a really great piece to travel with if you don’t want to carry a big coat. The one I’m wearing is the perfect shade of green that flatters any skin tone, currently under $28 and available exclusively at Walmart Fashion. It’s not overly boxy. And I love that it has small drawstrings on the inside if you want to cinch it even more. I found that it ran pretty true to size. FYI I typically like to wear my jackets a bit looser because it gives off a more relaxed look. White Distressed JeansThe relaxed cut of these jeans is ideal. They’re an ankle boot cut style. The material has just a touch of stretch to them so they’re not stiff. They’re a medium waist, and the distressed detail is subtle making them cool, but not too edgy! I really like them in the medium light denim wash too. Knit Sweater TankThis tank is EVERYTHING. I ordered a second one from Walmart just to have as a backup because I know I’m going to be wearing it nonstop. It’s LUX, gorgeous, and soooooo perfect in every way – truly. It feels dreamy on (I’m wearing a small here), and comes in a rich champagne/beige sheen color. The material is a tight knit material so it’s thicker than a simple cotton tank, and can be worn to a formal event if need be. I’ve already tried it on with a black trouser and white blazer, black silk mid skirt, high waisted skinny jean and leather jacket, and pencil skirt. Trust me, you need this tank! PS it’s only $6. Affordable Staple Pieces for SpringA few other pieces I’m loving from Walmart Fashion’s trend section are this black faux leather jacket (feels so soft and you’d never guess that it was only $40) and this stretchy knit black pencil skirt that looks adorable with a plain white T and sandals for everyday. I’d also wear it with a crop top for a night out! Shop these pieces, as well as my entire outfit below!
