TGIF right?! I don’t know about you gals but I NEED SLEEP! It’s been one of those nonstop weeks and I feel like I haven’t sat down once. We shot the cover of my book which was SO FREAKIN’ exciting and I drove down to Orange County twice this week to speak at the Simply conference and attend a fun event with Nordstrom x Chanel. I’m definitely ready for a mani/pedi, bath, and take out + Real Housewives on the couch situation.
Speaking of couch, my couch is my favorite part of this room. It’s a comfy, cozy oversized piece from Restoration Hardware that I dreamt of having for years and years and had to wait for since it wouldn’t fit in any of my NYC apartments! IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT! Charlie gets his dirty paws all over it, but luckily you just take the slipcover off and wash it and it looks brand new. Yes it gets dirty all over again, but that’s dog mom life right?!
I went with lots of neutrals
White, cream, and light wood for this space and wanted it to flow with the rest of the house. I spend so much time in this space and love hanging out after a long day here. The shearling rug is the best thing in the world to lay on and Charlie buries his little nose in it!!! All of my baskets are under $100 and add that coastal/beachy charm look I love.
I knew I wanted to have a surfboard and a giant piece of oversized art in my entry which leads into the living room. The surfboard is from a local shop called Mollusk Surf and the artwork is from an incredible company called St. Frank which is based out of San Francisco. I ordered the bench from Etsy and had it painted a dark navy blue (it was actually supposed to be black, but we got the wrong color – and I ended up liking it!)
Stay tuned for the last part of my home tour next week – my closet/office!

Love ♥️ love love the simplicity and bright feel to the living room decoration.

Ugh girl I feel you – with travel and work and house guests I am tired. I need that same night (swapping RH for a bad Young Adult book, something dystopian).
BUT YOUR LIVING ROOM looks amazing – I love it! Please have me over.
Lastly, so excited for your cookbook!!
