My LA Home Tour: Bedroom

Venice, CA

Happy Friday!

My bedroom is by far my favorite room in the house .  It’s super open, bright, and airy with wood beams and cool grey walls.  I get so many questions about the paint color and I unfortunately don’t know what color it is since it was there when I moved in!  Home Depot or Lowe’s are usually pretty good about matching colors based on photos so I suggest bringing it there.

For my bedroom, I was inspired by one of my best friend’s houses.

I basically copied almost everything in her bedroom – from her bed, to her linen bedding, bench, shearling rug, and rustic wood nightstand!  I couldn’t resist – and luckily she didn’t mind :)  Most of the furniture is from Restoration Hardware, so I’m including some similar, more affordable options below.  Pro tip: if you find let’s say, a dresser you love, but you hate the knobs or handles – just swap them out for chicer ones from Anthropologie – completely changes the look!  I did this with a ton of Ikea furniture in my NYC apartment.

Another question I get asked often is – are linen sheets comfortable?  Yes, the ones from Restoration Hardware and Parachute Home are insanely soft and comfortable.  They are super breathable and I love that they feel worn and lived in.  Now that I’ve gone linen I can never go back haha!  My sister has linen sheets as well – hers are from West Elm, and she says the same thing.

Stay tuned for the rest of my house tour next week and enjoy your weekend!!!
