I am so excited to share our primary bedroom with you! I knew I wanted to get all new bedding and furniture for our bedroom when we moved from NYC. For this space, I really wanted to lean into the farmhouse, cozy, rustic vibe. I’ve been using warmer colors, more texture, and antique pieces to decorate. It’s been really fun and I’ve been mixing and matching pieces from all over the world!
Our Primary Bedroom
I did an entire post on my favorite bedding here. We LOVE our Boll and Branch linen sheets, as well as their signature sheet set. Linen sheets are to die for! If you haven’t already slept in linen sheets – you must, and trust me, you won’t go back. You can use code KAT20 for 20% off all Boll and Branch sheets through August and KAT15 for the rest of the year! I ordered these cool monogram pillow shams off Etsy and was amazed at how they pull the whole room together. You can personalize the color and font – the possibilities are endless!
This Noir Ferret wood bed took almost 6 months to arrive, but was so worth it. This is a similar bed for a fraction of the price. Our nightstands have also been backordered for months, so I pulled in our entryway table for the time being and actually love the way it looks in here. It will be temporary until these nightstands arrive. We really need drawers for functionality otherwise I would soooo keep this table. BUT this would be a great guest bedroom table option in the future if I don’t bring it back down to our entry.
Our bedroom rug is from my favorite vintage rug store; Linda’s Barn. She has the most incredible selection. You may remember this rug from her shop which is in our dining room. If you have any questions with rugs she is SUPER helpful and engaged so don’t be shy to reach out! This month only she is doing 20% off everything – so it’s definitely the perfect time to buy!
The fun part of decorating is at the very end when everything comes together and you get to “play” and accessorize the room! Adding in coffee table books, candles, ring dishes… My lamp is from here – and has traveled all of the country with me (remember it from my LA house?!) This beautiful oil painting is Diana Brambila and features white peonies. I ordered her landscape painting for our kitchen too. The frame is actually a vintage mirror I found at an antique store for $6! That’s a great way to save on an intricate frame – and you can either cheat it and glue a picture onto the mirror part (hello DIY project) or bring it to a framer to professionally fit.
