Fall is here! I’m pretty excited to bring out chic fall pieces from my NYC wardrobe that have been in storage all summer! This cream sweater was a favorite last fall and winter, and so was this baseball cap. I’ve already started planning a few fall weekend trips to Aspen and Napa, and am forcing myself to only bring a carry on bag both times. If you follow me on instastory you know I’m the world’s worst packer and always bring 20 zillion pairs of shoes and bags. It’s impossible for me to narrow down and I always end up paying oversized baggage fees – not fun! SO, I am going to make it a point to really consolidate and condense this time around – especially for shorter domestic trips. I got this simple black slip dress from the sweet girls at Show Me Your Mumu (a local Venice based brand) a few weeks ago. I love that it’s low cut in the back and has a little slit on the side making it super easy to walk in. It’s doesn’t need to be ironed or steamed and can be thrown in the bottom of your bag (it’s not made of that kind of “precious” silk that easily snags.) I styled it 3 ways here – with a simple plaid button down + baseball cap, with a cozy sweater, and with an oversized denim jacket for a long weekend trip or everyday. You could even add a vest over it, belt it, or pair a chic leather jacket on top. The possibilities are endless!
