A Silky Red Dress

I saw this red dress online and couldn’t believe the price – it’s under $100! The material is a really thick, high quality viscose that looks and feels JUST like silk! It’s available here and here in a few more sizes. It’s the perfect little red dress for date night isn’t it?! The brand ASTR makes so many cute dresses (I own several!) that are all super affordable, flattering and feminine. Amazon Fashion carries a great selection and has an entire ASTR “shop” page devoted to the brand. A few that caught my eye while I was perusing the site were….this stunning coral midi dress, this strappy criss cross back LBD, this linen flutter sleeve dress (which I own in both colors!), and this easy white sundress. Nordstrom also has an amazing selection of their pieces – I particularly love this dress, this cream blouse, and these linen trousers. For accessories, I wore my favorite Alexandre Birman heels that also happen to be insanely comfortable. I can legit walk/stand in them for hours, and they’re just such a classy pair of shoes. They are a splurge, but have been one of my go-to heels for years! I’ve worn them so much I’ve had them re-soled! Shop this look + a few more of my fave affordable ASTR pieces below!

The Floral Dress

This is my FAVORITE floral dress of the summer. I ordered it online unsure if I would actually like it when it came in the mail, and OMG let me tell you – it is stunning on! The pattern is even prettier in person, and it hits at all the right places. The little tie shoulder detail is so cute, and the material is a linen-like, soft fabric. It’s the perfect midi length, and could easily be worn with a leather jacket (a tan one would look buttery and gorg), or even a white button-down tied around the waist. I, of course, love it worn plain, as is too! I paired it here with my Staud mesh net bag that I wear everywhere and classic Janessa Leone Panama hat. In terms of sizing, it is very fitted around the waist, so I do recommend sizing up. I am wearing a Medium here but usually wear a size small in dresses. It’s running low in stock at Nordstrom, but I just found it available in all sizes here! This floral pattern also comes in several other styles that I’m loving like this simple straight neckline dress, this off the shoulder dress, and this smocked bodice dress. I also really like this little floral sundress with a similar pattern as well. Shop more of my favorite floral dresses below!

A Flowy Summer Skirt

Happy Monday! How is it already August? Summer is flying by and I am so excited for all of the travels I have planned this month. I’m heading to LA this week to be on one of my favorite podcasts; Philadelphia the following week to speak at a conference, and then finally Rome + Capri for a week of fun in the sun with my love. I’ve been trying SO hard to only bring carry-on bags with me because I hate waiting for my luggage after I land and trekking with a bunch of stuff. Surprisingly, I’ve gotten way better at narrowing down what I pack so I think I’m going to write a whole post on what tips/trick/essentials I’ve adapted along the way. This summer skirt is IDEAL to travel with. It’s soooo lightweight and the material doesn’t wrinkle! It’s also really versatile so you can pair it with a body suit, crop top, button down, leather jacket, silk blouse, camisole. Tons of options! I plan on packing it with me to both LA and Italy because it can be worn during the day and at night styled with different accessories. Other flowy midi skirts I’m loving right now are:This floral printed one from Reformation, vibrant pink skirt, and this classy navy polka dot skirt. I’d pair any of them with this darling white lace camisole, or this romantic crop blouse. Also check out this skirt comination from Miami.

Sundress in Little Italy

Hiiii! Sorry for the lack of posts this week! I just got back from a beautiful trip to Santa Barbara with Belmond and am finally getting back to the swing of things. Carly and I shot a ton of amazing photos around the property and in Montecito that I can’t wait to share! The second I landed back in the city, I was craving Rubirosa pizza. If you’re not familiar with Rubirosa – then you must try it when you’re in the area! This is one of my favorite pizza spots in NYC, and it’s located in the heart of Nolita. The crust is thin, they offer gluten free options. In addition, they have this one pizza called the Tie Dye which is SO YUMMY! The wait is always pretty long, and the restaurant is small, so I typically order 2 large pizzas and a salad, and take them home to enjoy with friends. I wore this little floral Reformation number on my way to Rubirosa. It’s the perfect daytime or date night sundress. I love the way it cinches just below the bust, and the subtle pattern. Reformation has their own website, but they’re also carried on Nordstrom, Net-a-Porter and now Shopbop! In terms of sizing with this dress, and most Reformation dresses, I typically like to size up. They do tend to run tight around the ribcage/waist. A few Reformation dresses I’m loving at the moment are:This one (I have it in the printed floral pattern), this one, this one, and this one (so sexy AND so reasonable.) This one is at the top of my wishlist, and this one is such a gorgeous, refreshing shade of blue. I always get a ton of questions about the beige sunglasses I wear, and believe it or not they were $15 from a random Venice Beach boardwalk stand. I found this pair which are similar and have a great, oversized shape! Honestly, I love cheap sunglasses (they just fit me better!) and I’ve found that BP + Quay makes some of my faves.
