Leather Pieces I'm Loving

I’m already getting excited for fall. I know, I know, it’s a bit premature. BUT there are so many great pre-fall, cool, pieces that you can easily wear this month and then all year long. I’ve already started stocking up on classic faux leather trousers, skirts, and jackets because things tend to sell out quickly as we approach September. Some of my faves… Leather Pieces I’m LovingLeather and Faux Leather skirts and dressesThe skirt I’m wearing is 7 years old from DVF – a classic, but I found similar options here, here, here and here. I am obsessed with this leather blazer dress and just ordered it for the fall. I can see myself wearing it with over the knee boots or even a strappy lace up heel! A pump would be fun too… these pumps under $60 are a must (just bought them in both colors.) And how cute is this short sleeve dress? This little strapless leather dress is a major splurge, but wow…swoon. Leather and Faux Leather PantsI just ordered these AGOLDE black leather pants and can’t wait to wear them with a little slingback and blouse or T-shirt in the fall. I LOVE these Spanx leggings, they’re great for layering under a coat or jacket running errands, but they run super small, so definitely size UP! Also love these AQUA leggings (they just sold out, but these are similar.) These Ann Taylor faux leather pants are always a favorite – FYI these run big, so definitely size down! And how fun are these leather joggers in taupe? Leather and Faux JacketsIn terms of puffer coats – how great is this one?! A classic style that I can totally see myself throwing on to go to the grocery store with a beanie, running errands in town, or with jeans and booties for snowy date nights. It also comes in this pretty taupe color. In terms of jackets, this faux one is under $100 and a no brainer if you’re in the market for one. I live in Iro leather jackets all fall long (they’re the most buttery soft!), and I am SO into a cool leather button down shirt/jacket for fall layering. Accessories The list is a mile long for the accessories I’m loving…so I’ll keep it short and sweet. Just ordered these pumps in both colors, love these simple slides, and my Bottega clutch. Also, how expensive looking are these faux croc booties?! I would def go down a 1/2 size btw. Rehearsal Dinner

Our rehearsal dinner took place on a balmy Tuesday evening in Nantucket. The rain held off until the very last hour, but the storm clouds ended up creating the most gorgeous lighting for us! It was so special to kick off our wedding events with this intimate dinner surrounded by our families. Rehearsal Dinner Rehearsal Dinner Attire For Her I picked out this Monique Lhuillier wedding dress for our rehearsal. I fell in love with the origami back detail which cascaded and draped in the most unique places. The original design had a longer train, but we shortened it to just brush the floor with heels. Originally, I actually wanted a simple and sleek wedding dress style like this, but when I tried it on, I knew it would be even better suited for the rehearsal night! Monique’s pieces are such a dream. This exact style is called the Raine and was purchased at her Madison Avenue boutique, but I’ve linked several similar options below! For my shoes, I wore these fun Stuart Weitzman heels and for accessories – I wore my everyday, favorite charm earrings from Lee Brevard. Rehearsal Dinner Attire For Him Thomas bought this J.Crew white dinner jacket only a week before our wedding – haha typical him! He is a procrastinator like I am! Thank goodness it fit and looked amazing on. He went with a size 40R instead of a tall despite him being 6’4″ and wearing a tall size in most clothes. The jacket ran long so the regular worked great. He said that if your hubby is in between sizes, he could probably size down since it does run long. His shirt is from Charles Tyrwhitt and his bowtie was old from Brooks Brothers (this one is similar.) His velvet loafers are available here and his pants are J.Crew. Bridal Getting Ready Outfit

When it came to choosing my getting ready outfit for the wedding, I knew I wanted to do something different. Originally I had ordered this beautiful lace robe, but because my dress was lace – I didn’t want to overdo it with lace in my photos. I chose this stunning silk slip dress instead and wore it right before I put my dress on. Truth be told, I actually got ready (aka did my hair and makeup) in a super fluffy, oversized robe, but for my special “getting ready” photos I wore the silk slip dress. It was perfect, and now I can wear it again and again for several other occasions! I also own it in black. Bridal Getting Ready OutfitSilk Slip DressesIn addition to the Fleur du Mal slip dress I wore, I wanted to share a few other similar options. This one is almost identical (and would be a fun after party dress as well!), this one with feathers on the bottom is quite festive, this one with lace is under $80 – also available here, and I love the flutter sleeves on this one. The Fleur du Mal dress also comes in a short version. Bridal RobesThis was the original robe I had planned on wearing, but again, because my dress was lace – it was too similar. It’s gorgeous though, and I know I’ll find another occasion to wear it – even on our honeymoon! This one is almost identical and a fraction of the price – also available here. This robe with black piping and the word Mrs. is so chic – also available here. These would be great bridesmaids robes, this one hits below the knee, and this one is under $100. Bridal PJsMy sister and all of her bridesmaids wore these cute matching Eberjey PJs – you can have them personalized which makes a great gift – also available here in all white! This feather trim PJ set is darling and these are fun silky PJ sets. I’ve linked several other options below as well as on my Bridal Favorites page!

After Party Wedding Dress

I’m so excited to share that our wedding is featured on Brides! I’m working a bit backwards here by sharing my after party wedding dress, before the actual wedding dress, but so many of you have been asking to see the full length shot of this dress! It’s such a fun piece and something I plan on wearing again and again. After Party Wedding DressThis sleek, minimalist Carolina Herrera wedding dress was the perfect after party dress to dance the night away in. I wanted something really effortless, sexy, and easy – and this dress was all of those things. The second I slipped it on, I knew I had to wear it! I love the low back and clean lines. It actually comes with a train, but I cut it off so that I could move freely in it. If you left the train on, it would make a beautiful, modern wedding dress. I purchased it at the Madison Avenue Carolina Herrera store, so I don’t have an online link for it, but I’ve linked several similar options below and on my Bridal Favorites page! After Party DressesLove the back of this dress – and it’s under $275. This low cut back is also beautiful – and so is this one for under $60. The sweetheart neckline on this dress is so pretty – and I love the Grecian goddess vibes of this one! This strapless dress is so elegant, this dress looks like the one I wore to our engagement party (the slip could easily be sewn together), and this sleek halter dress is splurgeworthy! After Party Wedding ShoesAs much as I would have loved to throw on sandals or a kitten heel at the end of the night, I opted for fashion over total comfort and switched into these classic Stuart Weitzman heels. They worked so well with the sleek lines of the dress. I also wore them to my bachelorette party here. You can see the rest of my wedding on Brides here!
