Lunch at San Ysidro Ranch

I feel like these photos were taken a lifetime ago, but it was only a few months ago. On my last trip to Santa Barbara, I was able to stop by the lovely San Ysidro Ranch hotel and have lunch on their beautiful patio. Their outdoor dining area is one of my favorites, and ideal on a warm day or night for a meal with loved ones. I cannot wait to visit and support them when they reopen. Silk Printed Skirt For SpringI bought this silk printed skirt years ago, and it’s become an easy, classic piece to wear in the spring/summer with a blouse, off the shoulder sweater, or bodysuit. A few silk printed skirts I have my eye on right now are this one, this one, and this one. V-neck Black BodysuitThe bodysuit I’m wearing is on sale for $20 here! FYI it runs big and is pretty low cut, so definitely size down. It’s really flattering on, and fun for nights out, or to wear under a sheer sweater or blazer. I love the stretchy, spandex material. White Straw Panama HatJanessa Leone makes the BEST hats. I own several and they honestly look SO good on everyone. This is the perfect white straw Panama hat if you’re in the market for one!

White Eyelet Sundress

Happy Friday! These photos were taken a few months ago at the beautiful Belmond El Encanto hotel in Santa Barbara, but I never got around to posting them! I thought now would be the perfect time, since temperatures are starting to heat up and we are all itching to buy light spring dresses like this one (or at least I am!) White Eyelet Sundress The dress I’m wearing here is from last season and sold out, but this dress is super similar and happens to be 25% off – I actually just ordered it! It will look so pretty with a thick brown leather belt or long gold pendant necklace. I recommend sizing down in Free People since their styles tend to run big. This is another beautiful white midi length dress with eyelet detail – and it’s only $60. Spring AccessoriesI paired my dress with these beige lace up sandals I’ve had for years and this straw Clare Vivier tote. This straw tote is ALWAYS sold out and legit never goes on sale, but it JUST got marked 25% off, so I highly suggest snapping it up before it’s gone again! It’s my favorite spring/summer bag for casual outings and travels well since it’s not stiff and won’t get crushed like so many other straw totes. Shop this sale!PS Nordstrom is offering 40% off their best selling items site wide – so it’s a great opportunity to snag spring pieces, cute loungewear, or quality basics. Enjoy your weekend!

A Structured Blazer + Flowy Skirt

The other week, I popped into the Bloomingdales Soho store around the corner from my apartment. I LOVE this location and often pick up birthday/housewarming gifts for friends (their candle selection is amazing), and classic pieces for my wardrobe here. They carry all of the best brands, and everything is so well displayed. BCBGMAXAZRIA at BloomingdalesOn the 5th floor, you’ll find one of my favorite brands; BCBGMAXAZRIA. I’ve been buying BCBGMAXAZRIA since high school and I love that the quality has never changed. You can always count on their pieces to be well made, last forever, and fit like a glove. I needed a few new classic pieces and ended up getting this gorgeous black midi skirt, chic black crop top, and elegant white blazer. The black midi skirt will pair well with everything from T-shirts, to tanks, and white button downs in the coming months. FYI if you’re in between sizes, size down! I love that it’s lined, so it’s not too sheer like many silk skirts. This crop top can easily be tucked into high waisted trousers for a night out, or event. And this white blazer is legit the PERFECT white blazer if you’re in need of one. The material doesn’t wrinkle (which is a HUGE plus), and the gold buttons on the sleeve really elevate it. I found the size small to be ideal on me! Chic Pieces For SpringA few other BCBGMAXAZRIA pieces from Bloomingdales that I have my eye on are…this hot pink blazer (SWOON), this little white dress (so gorg for girls night out!), this light pink sweater crop top (would look fab with these white trousers…), this beige silk belted trench coat (does this not have my name written all over it?), this simple v-neck bodysuit cami, this pink cropped sweater (on major sale for under $60), and this super flattering black blouse for any occasion. Styling Studio at BloomingdalesOne of the things that impressed me the most about the Bloomingdales Soho store is their styling studio on the 5th floor. It’s basically a spacious living room where you can try on anything at anytime (while your shopping partner relaxes – Thomas loved the oversized chairs!), and get the help of a trusted stylist if you want it. It’s quiet, peaceful, and the lighting is SO good (this is key, am I right?!) I was able to lay out all of my options, and really compare/contrast them. Not feel rushed, and make smart decisions on my purchases. See what else I’m loving from BCBGMAXAZRIA at Bloomingdales below!

Light Layers For Spring

It definitely feels like SPRING! I’ve been able to ditch my winter coats for the last 3 days and let me tell you, it’s been absolutely glorious. I feel like I’ve been weighed down by a heavy coat for the past 4 months!!! Instead of coats, I’ve been reaching for light trenches and safari/military inspired jackets like this one. I’ve always LOVED a military style jacket for spring and summer – and this one from Walmart’s Fashion section is a welcome addition to my closet. Military Jacket For SpringThis green military jacket is so versatile and can be worn with everything from jeans and a T, or a sundress. It looks really pretty specifically with a white linen dress, or even a floral bohemian dress. It’s a really great piece to travel with if you don’t want to carry a big coat. The one I’m wearing is the perfect shade of green that flatters any skin tone, currently under $28 and available exclusively at Walmart Fashion. It’s not overly boxy. And I love that it has small drawstrings on the inside if you want to cinch it even more. I found that it ran pretty true to size. FYI I typically like to wear my jackets a bit looser because it gives off a more relaxed look. White Distressed JeansThe relaxed cut of these jeans is ideal. They’re an ankle boot cut style. The material has just a touch of stretch to them so they’re not stiff. They’re a medium waist, and the distressed detail is subtle making them cool, but not too edgy! I really like them in the medium light denim wash too. Knit Sweater TankThis tank is EVERYTHING. I ordered a second one from Walmart just to have as a backup because I know I’m going to be wearing it nonstop. It’s LUX, gorgeous, and soooooo perfect in every way – truly. It feels dreamy on (I’m wearing a small here), and comes in a rich champagne/beige sheen color. The material is a tight knit material so it’s thicker than a simple cotton tank, and can be worn to a formal event if need be. I’ve already tried it on with a black trouser and white blazer, black silk mid skirt, high waisted skinny jean and leather jacket, and pencil skirt. Trust me, you need this tank! PS it’s only $6. Affordable Staple Pieces for SpringA few other pieces I’m loving from Walmart Fashion’s trend section are this black faux leather jacket (feels so soft and you’d never guess that it was only $40) and this stretchy knit black pencil skirt that looks adorable with a plain white T and sandals for everyday. I’d also wear it with a crop top for a night out! Shop these pieces, as well as my entire outfit below!
