A Lowkey Summer BBQ
It’s hard to believe that summer is coming to an end! Thomas and I wanted to take full advantage of these last days of summer so we decided to throw a little BBQ for his parents one night. We didn’t feel like trekking all the way to the grocery store, so we ordered groceries from the new Walmart Express delivery service which delivers groceries in under 2 hours! Yes, 2 hours! I legit placed an order at 4:25PM and everything came promptly (and even faster than promised) at 5:30PM – so quick and so easy.
About the Walmart Express Delivery Service
The new Walmart Express delivery service allows you to order everything from groceries, to household essentials, tech accessories, over the counter pharmacy items, toys and more (as long as you order under 64 items!) Talk about convenient! Deliveries will come from your local Walmart store between the hours of 10AM-6PM. I still don’t have a car here in Connecticut, so this service has literally been a lifesaver for me when I’ve needed anything. Walmart Express delivery is subject to availability at select stores. Standard delivery fee and/or Express delivery fee may apply. Minimum order applies.
What I also love about the Walmart Express delivery service is that it’s contactless. A driver can leave the groceries right at your door – just specify when you check out. It’s a beyond seamless process that simplifies grocery shopping.
For our BBQ we ordered a mix of simple snacks and drinks; La Croix lemon (my fave!), cranberry juice, popcorn, chips + salsa, graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate for s’mores, and cheese + crackers. The s’mores were a huge hit let me tell you ;) I made a delicious dip that one of my girlfriend’s always makes at her BBQs with just salsa and cream cheese. Sounds weird, but it’s absolutely delicious! You just slightly heat up the cream cheese and then add in equal parts of salsa. What’s one of your favorite summer snacks?!
