It’s the little touches – artwork, fresh flowers, candles, coffee table books, and knick knacks like trays of bangles and perfumes on dressers that really make a home feel like your own. After almost 3 years of living in the same apartment in the West Village, I’ve really started to “nest” and can proudly look around and see my style inserted in every corner. I’m excited to start sharing more home decor posts and decorating tips on here since that is and has always been one of my greatest passions. This blog did after all, begin as an interior design blog! A reader of mine who has been following me for years and heard me speak about my career path at the Simply Stylist conference reached out last week. She said she connected with the fact that I had both an interior design background (my college major) and fashion background (I did in house PR for a small jewelry company when I first moved to the city.) She was telling me about how she was starting a blog and unsure of which topic to focus on since she had so many passions and diverse career experience (in fashion, and finance). I told her the beauty of a blog is that it can be whatever you want it to be and it can morph and grow as you grow! You don’t have to choose one topic to write about or focus on. Being multifaceted is one of her greatest qualities and should be shared – not condensed or hidden. At times, I too have felt like maybe I should only focus on fashion – or interior design related posts – but then it seemed silly not to share my interest in the fashion, beauty, decor, travel, and most recently wellness fields. This holiday, I am especially grateful for your support and have truly loved getting to know more of you on a personal level. I cannot wait to continue creating, sharing, and connecting with you in the New Year. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas! xx Kat
