Road trips are the best – especially when you have a snazzy new 2017 Audi S3 to drive around in. The other week Talun and I had so much fun test driving this gorgeous car and spent 3 days zipping around the Hamptons. We stayed at one of my favorite properties – Gurney’s and popped in and out of charming restaurants in Montauk and Southampton. I’ve been on my fair share of road trips and wanted to offer a few words of advice/tips/tricks that will help make your next trip a little more enjoyable :) First, you need a good playlist. I am a huge fan of the Odesza, Flume or the Freddy Verano Pandora stations. Those stations have the best mix of “chill house” tunes that are perfect background noise. Second, stay hydrated and keep healthy snacks on hand so you don’t get tempted with junk food along the way. I like to fill up a Swell bottle with lemon water and bring almonds and dried fruit like apricots or figs with me to munch on. I always pack homemade oatmeal chocolate chip cookies (I use olive oil instead of butter) or slices of pumpkin bread in my bag as well. I try to eat as clean/gluten free as possible and it’s sometimes hard to find GF breakfast food/snacks when you’re on the road. Both recipes are linked and take less than 15 minutes to make. Third, have a general itinerary/plan but be open to the unknown and trying new places. Some of my favorite memories have been from discovering local, hidden spots along the way. If you’re in need of travel inspiration – be sure to download my Travel App which is free and has all of the best restaurants, shops, and sights to see in 17 of my favorite cities. I’m really excited to continue updating it this year. A big thank you to Audi for giving me such a fun car to explore in!
