NYC Beauty Guide

When I moved to NYC, I was worried about finding good hair salons, waxing centers, spas, and manicurists, but thanks to recommendations from friends I have had great experiences thus far.  Here are a few of my favorite beauty spots for those of you who live in NYC! hairland.ru.com, jessysphotofix.tumblr.com, reasonstobreathe.tumblr.com Scott J Hair Salon – I got a trim with one of their “New Talent” stylists.  She did a great job and used all Aveda products.  Her assistant gave me a neck and hand massage which was amazing.  I printed out the new client $20 off coupon and ended up only paying $30 for my haircut! Anastasia Beverly Hills Brows at Sephora – Best eyebrow waxers in the world.  My brows have never looked better and that is huge for me to say because I am so picky about my brows.  Make sure to make an appointment and be on time.  FYI it is located in the back of the Sephora in Times Square.   Nail Gypsy – A manicurist that comes to you? Yes please!  This is the greatest invention of all time for the working NYC girl. When I don’t have time (or don’t feel like waiting) to get a manicure I have Nail Gypsy come to wherever I am.  It is such a nice treat for yourself and a great gift idea for a friend!   Uni K – This is a quick and clean waxing center (what more could you want) that has locations all over the city.  I prefer the Upper East Side location over the Murray Hill one, but the Murray Hill one was great nonetheless.

Recently tried Nail Gypsy for my blog as well – was a lovely shellac mani!

Also, I have sworn by Uni K for the past 3 years. I used to go to Murray Hill, but now go to the Flatiron location, since I live in the East Village.

    Great post!
