A Cozy Corner

Happy Monday!  I wanted to share one of my favorite corners in my West Village apartment with you.  I spend a lot of time at home (especially in the winter!) so having a comfortable space is so important. Also…a well stocked bar is a must ;)  I splurged on this bar cart from Williams Sonoma a few months ago and just love the leather handles.  I use it as both a bar cart and bookshelf for all of my coffee table books.  I collect coffee table books (if you can’t already tell) as well as matches and seashells.  I try to pick up a box of matches at every bar or restaurant I visit around the world.  When guests come over, it’s fun to lay them out and see which spots they’ve been to!  This candle burns 24/7 in my apartment.  It smells heavenly and people always ask me about it when they walk in.  You can’t go wrong with John Robshaw’s “Sheesha” pillow.  It’s classic with a twist and brings a simple couch to life.  I’ll be sharing a full apartment tour (I know, I know it’s a looooong time coming!) very soon.

A Summer Wine + Cheese Night

It’s officially summer aka rosé season!!!  To celebrate, I invited my girlfriends over for a wine + cheese night.  I picked up 2 bottles of my favorite rosé; Miraval and Whispering Angel, cheese and crudités from Poppy’s, flowers from Bloom Bar, and cake from Momofuku.  I ordered all of my dishware from Horchow; an incredible home decor site that has everything from chic gift items to french linens, cashmere throws, and gorgeous stemware.  These Madeline Weinrib napkins immediately caught my eye and paired perfectly with this ice bucket that I’ll be using all summer long.  These cake plates come in pink and green as well, but the white is so classic.  They’ll be beautiful on my dining table with fruit when I’m not entertaining!  I love how thick these wine glasses are – they’re way more casual than your average wine glass making them ideal for indoor/outdoor parties! My favorite pieces though, were by far these white and pewter serving bowls.  They’re handmade in Italy and such good quality.  Shop all of my summer decor must haves from Horchow (like these julep cups, these glasses, and these placemats) below!

Girls Night In

It all started with this watermelon lime margarita…   I was browsing on Pinterest the other night and came across this delicious cocktail recipe.  It inspired me to throw together a little Mexican themed girls night and gave me an excuse to use my new tableware from Lulu & Georgia.  I mean, was this pitcher not made for margaritas?!  And can we talk about these gold rimmed glasses!  These plates are even more stunning in person (not to mention such a steal) and I already know I’ll use these simple black stitch napkins again and again.  Lulu & Georgia is one of my favorite destinations for all things home decor.  They have the best selection of furniture (love this bar cart), rugs (this one is sooo pretty), lamps (I need this for my new office), and accessories (buying this pillow asap.)  Shop more of my decor must haves below and be sure to check out my food Pinterest board for more inspiration and recipes!

Bonne Nuit

My secret weapon for a goodnight’s sleep is an eye mask.  I’ve been using an eye mask for about 2 years now and can’t begin to tell you how much of a difference it has made.  I sleep so much more deeply than before and wake up feeling refreshed and well rested.  A few months ago, a girlfriend who works in the beauty industry sent me this iluminage Skin Rejuvenating Eye Mask to try and I’ve been using it ever since.  I love how much thicker it is than my old eye mask.  It’s made of an incredibly satiny soft fabric that’s infused with copper.  The copper technology is proven to reduce fine lines and rejuvenate your skin while you sleep – in just four weeks.  Talk about a win-win!  Cozy bedding is my other secret weapon to a goodnight’s sleep and this classic black and white sheet set with this down comforter is a dreamy combo.  My throw pillows are Missoni and my headboard is Restoration Hardware (although I am loving this one from One Kings Lane!)
