With all of the tragedy going on in the world right now, I wanted to start a new series called; The Positivity Chain, where I highlight positive things that connected with me this week. It could be something that made me laugh, an amazing charity, a helpful tip, or an uplifting article. Each one of these things made me smile, and I hope it brings a little joy to you during this time as well.
The Positivity Chain

A Positive Email Chain
My friend Juliette brought back the art of the email chain and created one which actually inspired the name of this series. Basically you send out the email below, and in return you’ll get a few positive, uplifting quotes delivered to your inbox from friends of friends over the course of a few days. It REALLY brightened my day to find an email from a stranger that had a meaningful phrase in it. It was something so small, free, and easy, but honestly brought me so much joy for the entire day. So the chain goes something like this (tweak the intro as you see fit!):
I started an email collective for an uplifting exchange through Women (and Male) Leaders. It’s a one-time thing, and we hope you will participate. We have included those we think would be willing to participate and make it meaningful.
Please send a poem/quote/thought to the person whose name is in position 1 below (even if you don’t know them/her/him). It should be a favorite text/verse/meditation that has affected you. Don’t agonize over it.

2. Your name here
After you’ve sent the short poem/verse/quote/etc. to the person in position #1, and only that person, copy this letter into a new email. In the text, move my name to position #1, and put your name in position #2. Only my name and your name should show in the copy of the new email. Then send the email to yourself and BCC (blind copy) 20 friends. It can be a combination of work and personal friends – whoever you think might appreciate it.
It’s fun to see where they come from and what they say. Seldom does anyone drop out because we all need encouragement. The turnaround is fast, as there are only two names on the list, and you only have to do it once.”

I’ve always had a weekly newsletter, but recently I added a weekly recipe to it exclusively for subscribers. It’s been so fun sharing some of my favorite recipes, seeing you make them, and thinking about which recipe to include the next week. I really look forward to it, and it’s reignited my love of cooking/sharing recipes again!
