It’s hard to believe that this past week marked my 10th season attending NYFW. I’ll never forget my first fashion week experience. I had moved to NYC a month prior, and a girlfriend was kind enough to give me her ticket to the Custo Barcelona show. I was so nervous – I didn’t know what to wear and I wasn’t sure how it all worked – but I was incredibly excited and grateful to be there. I remember standing in the back and just being in awe of the crowd, lights, models, glamour, buzz, energy! I still get that same burst of excitement each time a show starts. This fashion week I chose to attend very select shows but each one was special and unique. I loved seeing collections from Lela Rose, Monique Lhuillier, and Veronica Beard. Mara Hoffman’s collection was one of my favorites (as always) and this jumpsuit just shot to the top of my wish list – swoon!

Love love love that striped shirt paired with the pinstripe skirt! The mix of the two patterns is perfect. I attended my first fashion week last season at the Mara Hoffman show and I totally agree, it was one of those total awe struck moments with all of the energy swirling about the room.
