In this post, I’m going to share some of my tried and true products, plus a few things I’ve been dying to try after reading about them! Without further ado… Sephora Sale Picks Laneige Lip Mask I’d heard SO many things about this lip mask, and then it won an Allure beauty award so I knew it had to be good. I’m obsessed with all things Vanilla so I can’t wait to try this lip mask! Dr. Barbara Sturm Face Cream I JUST ran out of this face cream and am counting down the days until it arrives in the mail. I love the texture, consistency, and it’s a clean product. I also use her eye cream and am intrigued to try the glow drops next. Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen This is the sunscreen I wear everyday. It’s so lightweight and doesn’t irritate my skin. It feels like whipped butter and goes on completely clear! Charlotte Tilbury Highlighter I’ve been using this highlighter for YEARS and love the way it looks on. It’s so easy to apply (I legit just use my fingers) and it creates a really natural, pretty looking sheen on your cheekbones! I don’t use the sculpt color, but know a ton of people who love it (I’m just too lazy to apply it haha!) Concealer I’ve been wanting to test out a few new concealers and currently have my eye on this one and this one! Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation This foundation is creamy, silky and gives you flawless skin! I wear shade 6.5. Laura Mercier Caviar Eye Shadow Stick Another one of my beauty favorites, this eyeshadow stick makes applying eyeshadow a BREEZE, plus it makes any powder you apply over it last all day. My go-to base color is Rose Gold. Dermalogica Microfoliant Exfoliator This has been the only exfoliator I’ve used for the past 7 years and I can’t say enough good things about it. It’s so gentle, lathers beautifully, and I’ve gotten everyone I know hooked on it. It also just won an Allure beauty award. Dr. Dennis Gross Peel Pads Lauryn has been raving about these peel pads forever, along with a handful of other bloggers and I’ve been wanting to try them! Just ordered a pack and will share how I like them. Tan Luxe Face Drops I’ve raved about these face tan drops before, and created an IGTV specifically sharing how to use them. They give you the most natural looking tan (*a little goes a LONG way and you only need about 2-3 drops.) Dae Shampoo + Conditioner I have tried a zillion shampoos + conditioners over the years and this one really really WOWs me. It makes my hair so silky, shiny, and voluminous, plus it’s a clean product and smells so yummy. The deep conditioning treatment is also amazing. Hourglass Powder Brush This is a gorgeous brush that is 2 in 1! Use the thicker side for your blush/bronzer and the thinner side for setting powder. I use this every single day to apply setting powder in my T-zone. T3 1″ Curling Wand I’ve been using this wand for almost 6 months now and am so happy I made the switch. It’s such a high quality ceramic and gives me natural looking curls. It heats up in seconds which is a lifesaver when you’re in a rush. Sunday Riley Acne Oil This is my holy grail product for breakouts! I dab a little bit of it over any red blemishes and it instantly goes down. I also like to sleep with it on overnight. It dries out a zit faster than anything I’ve ever used. Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask This mask REALLY gets in there and cleans your skin. You will radiate after! Bonus it’s a clean product. A few other products I love that just went out of stock (although they may be restocking soon!) are this Farmacy honey mask and this L’Occitane lavender bubble bath. Shop everything else below!

Best of Beauty: March

It’s hard to believe that March is almost over!!! Where did this month go?! Most of us have been spending a lot more time at home and doing wayyyy more self care rituals than usual. I used to use a face mask once a week, maybe once every other week, and now I’ve been using one 3 times a week – and oh man, my skin is rejoicing. In my new monthly series, Best of Beauty, I share beauty products I used for the past month that really stood out to me. They are a mix of products that I’ve been using for years, months, or just recently tried in the past few weeks and loved. Everything from perfume, to face masks, eye shadow, moisturizer, shampoo, serum and more. Here’s what made the cut this month… Best Beauty: March Bobbi Brown Bronzer I’ve been using this bronzer for over a decade now. I use shade “Bali Brown” and let me tell you, it is the prettiest, easiest bronzer to apply. There’s a slight shimmer to it which I love. You get a subtle glow and it really pops when the light hits it! I always use a bronzer brush to apply it, and tap a bit of the powder off before applying because a little goes a long way. Image Skincare Lip Balm My old dermatologist recommended this lip balm and I fell in LOVE with it a few years ago. It’s so moisturizing, scent free, clear, and I keep about a million in every drawer around my apartment. Unlike so many lip balms, it doesn’t need to be reapplied constantly because it actually works. I found it on MAJOR sale here and bought 10 tubes the other month! Sunday Riley UFO Face Oil If you have a blemish, use a drop of this on it and it will go away – no joke. I SWEAR by this stuff. So many of you have said you love it after I recommended it too. I never travel without it because I often break out after being on a plane/change of climate. If I have a blemish, I simply dab a drop on, rub it in, sleep with it overnight – and the next morning it’s either gone or died down significantly. It dries up a pimple FAST. Tan Luxe Self Tanner Face Oil I just did an IGTV explaining exactly how to apply these self tanner drops! If you need a natural looking face tan, use 2-3 drops of this mixed in with your everyday serum, moisturizer or foundation and rub it all over your face. You will be amazed at what a little color can do for you – you just look healthier! It doesn’t get on your clothes, barely has a smell, and washes off with your normal face cleanser. I wear the light/medium shade. MAC Lipgloss The shade I’ve been using since I was 18 is called C-Thru and if they ever discontinue it I will be devastated! I love that MAC offers a free gloss if you bring in 6 empty MAC products. This is such a great nude shade and my go-to everyday gloss. I have a naturally dark pink lip color, so this really neutralizes it/blends well. FYI if you have a lighter natural lip color this may be a bit too nude for you, so just use a tiny bit! Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask I’ve used 3 of her masks now, and none compare to the Resurfacing Mask. This mask really gets your pores deep cleaned. I don’t know how it does it, but it WORKS. My face feels squeaky clean, but not dried out, after using it. Plus it’s a completely CLEAN product. Tom Ford Body Oil This stuff smells like SUMMER. I rub a little bit on my collarbone and shoulders when I’m wearing a pretty top or dress. It is so feminine, gorgeous, and really gives me that extra pep in my step. You just feel sexy wearing it! Barbara Sturm Face Cream I’ve been using this face cream for 2 months now and my skin eats it up. It’s unscented, absorbs fast, and has the BEST texture out of any moisturizer I’ve ever tried. It’s pricey, but I personally think it’s worth it if you’re over 30. If you’re looking for a similar feeling product, and under the age of 30, this Kiehl’s moisturizer is a good one (I used to use it in my mid 20s.) It’s unscented as well, not too thick and absorbs easily. FYI I use the Barbara Sturm regular face cream, but am going to try her rich face cream next since my skin has been EXTRA dry this season. YSL Eyeshadow Palette This is the prettiest eyeshadow palette! It has all the best colors and is the only one I use on a day to day basis. The exact color way I use is called Saharienne. The shadows blend beautifully. Be sure to check out last month’s Best of Beauty: February roundup!

Best of Beauty: February

I wanted to start a new monthly series where I highlight some of my favorite beauty products. I try SO many products for my blog and wanted to share the ones that really stand out. Feel free to leave me any questions you have about them below! Best of Beauty: February Dae Shampoo + Conditioner Amber sent me her latest hair product; Dae a few weeks ago and I was blown away by the results. My hair is beyond silky smooth and it stays clean for days so I’ve barely had to use dry shampoo. Usually I have to use dry shampoo 1 day after washing it, but with this I can go 3+ days. It smells amazing and I love that it’s vegan + cruelty free. Necessaire body lotion This body lotion is basically like a face grade moisturizer but for your body. It’s the only body cream that has really been helping my extremely dry skin this winter. I get the unscented one! Dazzle Dry nail polish I’ve been getting gel manicures nonstop for years, without taking a break – eeeek I know! I LOVE having perfectly manicured nails and my hands are in photos 24/7. My nails finally gave out on me last year and became extremely sensitive, thin, broken, and brittle. I think it was a combination of certain nail technicians not properly taking the gels off, harsh chemicals, UV lights, and never letting my nail beds breath. Given all of that, I knew I had to find a better solution so I ordered Dazzle Dry non toxic polish after so many of you recommended it. I love it and am so impressed at how long it lasts! T3 Curling Iron I was using a Hot Tools iron for nearly a decade, and while I still love that iron, my hair stylist recommended I switch to a T3 ceramic iron because it’s less damaging. This iron heats up in seconds and also creates a lasting curl in seconds! I love that it’s interchangeable and sleek. Hourglass Powder Brush This dual brush is such amazing quality – I’ve had it for over 2 years and it looks brand new. I use the smaller bristle for powdering my face, and the thicker side for bronzer or blush when I travel. UBeauty Resurfacing Compoud Speaking of travel, if there’s one serum you’re going to take with you on a trip it should be UBeauty. Tina Craig developed this because she was tired of taking a million skincare products with her on trips (I can totally relate – the struggle is real!!!) and wanted 1 product to pretty much do it all. I noticed an immediate difference within 2 days of applying this morning and night. My skin was more hydrated and glowy. I travel with this and use it in the AM before applying moisturizer + SPF. Estee Lauder Lipstick I’ve spoken about this Reel Rose lipstick several times and honestly can’t get enough of it! And I don’t even usually wear or even like lipstick! It goes on soooo creamy and smooth, and is the prettiest light pink shade. The key when you’re applying it is to gently/lightly glide it over your lips because a little color goes a long way. My lips are naturally on the darker side so this counterbalances that color and gives me a gorgeous pink sheen. Elemis Pro-Collagen Rose Cleansing Balm I first found out about Elemis through one of my favorite bloggers; Helena from Brooklyn Blonde. She’s an amazing resource for all things beauty + skincare and absolutely raved about this cleanser. I tried it and immediately understood what the hype was about. It’s very gently, but effectively removes all makeup. It almost feels like melted butter on your skin – and smells so subtle and nice. It’s WAY better for your skin than a makeup wipe, and I now use it exclusively! Dr. Barbara Sturm Anti-Pollution Drops This hydrating serum is a bit of splurge, but if you feel like you need a little extra boost in your skincare routine, I recommend it. It blocks out harsh pollutants and blue light – which are both so damaging to your skin. Living in NYC and constantly being on my phone + computer – it’s a necessity for me. It feels very light and refreshing when you apply it. I have sensitive skin and have never had a problem with this. I just rub a few drops over my entire face and neck as the last step of my skincare routine and head out the door! Shop all of my beauty favorites below, and let me know if you love/use any of these as well! Would love to hear your thoughts! xx

How To Create A Glam Makeup Look

I looooove a smoky eye for day or night. I typically do a subtle smoky eye during the daytime, and then blend darker colors over my crease for night. Estée Lauder’s new ACT IV makeup collection by her great granddaughter; Danielle Lauder, is full of DREAMY products that are perfect for achieving a gorgeous daytime glow, or a more dramatic evening look. As an actress, Danielle is constantly in front of the camera so she KNOWS how important the right makeup is. Not only are the products aesthetically pleasing – I mean just look at this marble packaging (swoon!), but they also blend beautifully and come in stunning colors that look good on everyone. My Favorites from the Estee Lauder ACTIV Collection Cinemattic Complexion Liquid This is a light, translucent liquid that you put under your makeup. It completely smooths out your skin so it’s soft and velvety making it the ideal canvas for your foundation. Spotlight Highlighter You know I am obsessed with highlighter. Even on days when I don’t want to wear makeup, I still put a touch of highlighter down my nose and on my cheekbones – it makes you glow. This one is lovely and gives you a sun kissed glow. Party Puff Starlucent Filtered Powder My secret to not having a shiny forehead in photos is powder. Even if I’m not being photographed, I still like to put powder over my T-zone which is prone to getting oily. It sort of sets my makeup for the day, and just smooths everything out. At first I was scared that the coral color of this one would be too much, but it actually just gave me a pretty, rosy glow. I love that it made my makeup stay perfectly in tact ALL NIGHT. Best Picture Multi-Look Palette This palette comes with 4 colors; ivory, lavender, coral and charcoal. I used the ivory and charcoal to create my smoky eye and added extra charcoal in the crease at night for a more glam makeup look. Each one was blendable, and I loved that one some are matte and some are shimmery! Brushed by Fame Makeup Brush Kit I have been looking for a travel friendly, aesthetically pleasing makeup brush kit forever. This is legit the PERFECT one and comes in a luxurious satin travel case. Lip Duet Tint and Balm If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I am not a big lipstick wearer. They’re usually too matte or dry for me. Danielle came up with a solution for this – and created a duo lip tint + balm. The balm is silky and gives you instant hydration, while the tint gives you just the right amount of color. Luxe Lip Creme Like I said, I’m usually not a huge lipstick fan. But the texture of these lipsticks is SO creamy and soft. Plus the colors; a vibrant coral and a cool deep rose, are to die for!!!! 5 Tips for Creating A Glam Makeup Look Over the years, I’ve picked up a few tips + tricks from makeup artists and friends and wanted to share 5 to get you feeling glamorous and ready for any occasion!! Use highlighter to brighten + lift your face. I like to apply a small strip down my nose (you can use your finger or a clean small eyeshadow brush), on my cheekbones (I use a blush brush), and also right below my eyebrow which really brightens and opens my eyes. The key to a professional looking eyeshadow look is BLENDING. Use soft windshield wiping motions to blend a light eyeshadow across your entire eye. For a smoky effect, use a dark color on the very outside crease and go in circular motions with a long fluffy shadow brush to blend the light + dark colors. Putting a lip balm on before you add a swipe of lipstick is truly key when you want to achieve a beautiful lip. It makes ALL the difference in the world and fills in any dry spots or creases so your color lasts for hours. Powder makes the biggest difference in the world. I only started using it 2 years ago and can’t believe how much smoother my complexion looks on camera. It gives you an even, finish without any shine which honestly ruins a photo!!!! Just take the all over face brush from the brush kit here or use the puff to light dab powder on your T-zone and cheeks. You can use the lightest color in your eyeshadow palette (the ivory one in here would be ideal!) as a highlighter if you’re traveling or on the go and limited on space. That little extra sweep of eyeshadow under the brow bone will lift your entire face and make you look more awake!Shop the entire ACTIV Collection from Estee Lauder below!
