Best Leather Jackets

Noho, NY

A leather jacket is one of my wardrobe essentials. I rarely travel without one because it always acts as the perfect layering piece. I’ve owned a fair share of leather jackets over the years, and wanted to share which ones I still reach for and love.

Best Leather Jackets

Banana Republic Leather Jacket

I wore a Banana Republic leather moto jacket about 6 years ago when I was hosting an event for them at their Soho store, and it’s been my favorite ever since. It’s the softest, most buttery leather, and the cool moto belt detail instantly makes any outfit better. 9 out of 10 times this is the jacket I reach for. While they no longer make the same style with the moto belt, they make this one minus the belt. This AllSaints one and this AQUA one are nearly identical!

Iro Leather Jacket

This is another jacket I’ve had for 6+ years that still looks brand new. The leather is gorgeous…you definitely get what you pay for! I will say, that if you’re willing to splurge on it, you will not be disappointed. I have it in black, mustard yellow, and beige (this is a great dupe.) They’re all super versatile and cut in the most flattering way. Their jackets are more slim fit, but the leather does have some stretch. I typically wear a size small or 2, and in Iro I like their jackets in a size 36 or 38.

Joie Leather Jacket

I’ve had this Joie jacket for almost a decade and it’s a classic. The leather and cut is a bit stiffer (but not stiff!) then my other 2 leather jackets, but it has a really pretty sheen to it. This is a great style for someone who is a bit more feminine. It looks perfect with a floral dress, or jeans and a T.

Affordable Leather Jackets

You don’t really need more than 3 good leather jackets. I like having 2 black leather jackets to rotate, and 1-2 neutral leather jackets. The neutral leather jackets are ideal to wear in the fall and spring.

I am really impressed with this under $100 BLANKNYC faux leather jacket. I’ve seen it in stores and tried it on – and it looks like it could be well over $500. I love the gold details – it really makes it look luxe. They typically restock sizes throughout the season, so be sure to keep checking back!

This AllSaints leather jacket is a great Iro dupe for a fraction of the price. I love the buttery leather and subtle details. OBSESSED with it in this tan color which is currently 20% off!

For Abercrombie, this leather jacket may seem a bit pricey, but I’m impressed with their leather quality. And this vegan leather trench from them is to die for!

Leather jackets are love but it makes the person less comfortable and itchy. I wear only when I’m riding a bike or at any party otherwise, it’s warmness is unbearable. btw you look stunning :)
