Ivory + Grey Downtown

Meatpacking District, NY

I love an off-white, ivory colored coat for winter and have been looking for the perfect one to add to my collection.  When I saw this Eileen Fisher beauty at Bloomingdales I knew I had to have it!  The material is gorgeous – it’s part textured alpaca and SO warm.  If you live in NYC or anywhere that gets chilly,  you know how important it is to have a coat that actually keeps you warm.  Often times a coat can look warm – and oh-so-pretty, but fails to check all the boxes.  This coat checks all the boxes and more.  I’m obsessed with the chic high collar – which is perfect to protect you against any sort of wind chill.  I forgot a scarf the other day in NYC and just buttoned this up and it was a lifesaver!!!

I wore this chunky cashmere Eileen Fisher turtleneck underneath my coat.  The quality is incredible. Also, I am tempted to splurge on it in the deep green.  I love this longer tunic style turtleneck to travel in, and this casual grey knit number.  I own several Eileen Fisher sweaters and they’ve all held up beautifully over the years!

Other pieces I love from the selection at Bloomingdales are these silk side stripe pants (great for the office or a holiday party), this easy black slip dress (every woman needs one in her closet), this textured grey collar coat, this short alpaca cream peacoat (great if you live in LA or somewhere warmer during the winter), and these simple black booties for everyday.
