Happy Monday!
I hope you had a great weekend! I am so excited to share my dining nook with you. This little alcove was empty when I moved in, and I immediately envisioned a cozy dining bench built into the corner. I found a picture of one I loved on Pinterest, showed it to my contractor and he built it in 2 days. It’s one of my most used areas in the house. I love eating breakfast here, having meetings around the table, and bringing my laptop to work. I rotate the flowers and coffee table books I keep on it and it always brightens my day when I walk by and see a pop of color in that corner.
For artwork, I made custom art to hang in this nook. I love the look of custom art – it’s so unique – and SO easy to make! The larger piece is a textile I picked up on a trip to San Miguel de Allende. A woman handmade the piece and I knew I had to bring it home with me the second I saw it! The wonderful team at Simply Framed laid it in this stunning lucite frame. The other two pictures are actually just photos I tore out of a magazine and a coffee table book and put in Restoration Hardware frames!
