Sutton Place

Tommy and I have spent the past few weekends exploring different parts of our neighborhood.  We’ve lived in our apartment for over a year now – and are somehow still discovering new shops, restaurants and parks right around the corner.  One of my favorite neighborhood spots is Sutton Place Park.  It’s a quiet area filled with beautiful townhomes and incredible views of the bridge and river.  I also love the Carl Schurz Park, Ze Cafe for lunch, and East End Kitchen for dinner.  I’m thinking of doing a post about some of my favorite NYC spots so stay tuned!

Simple Stripes

This weekend was filled with good food and good friends.  On Saturday I hosted a brunch with Julie Vos and Persifor at Palma, and on Sunday I went over to my friend Jillian’s place for homemade BBQ pulled pork sandwiches and mini flourless chocolate cakes (so delish.)  I scored this dress on super sale at BCBG and pretty much lived in it the entire weekend.  It’s rare to find a knit dress that isn’t too tight.  I love how this one is fitted around the shoulders/arms and loose around the waist.  I suggest snapping it up before they sell out!

Gypsy

Tommy came home with this beautiful bundle of hybrid tea roses – he’s the best.  The gorgeous orange-yellow color in the roses inspired me to do an outfit post wearing one of my favorite summery dresses by Gypsy05.  If you’re tired of seeing me wearing dresses and carrying my french market basket, I’m not sorry.  I think I’m the only person in New York who isn’t ready/excited for Fall.  (Ok, maybe I’m a little bit excited – Fashion Week is just around the corner!) Visit my Facebook for outfit outtakes. Gypsy05 dress, Max and Chloe monogram necklace, french market basket, Sam Edelman flats, JCrew and vintage bangles, Michael Kors watch

Strolling

I’m having so much fun in Nantucket.  Today I went to the beach, then strolled around town.  I wore my new Ann Taylor navy blue shorts.  I had never been into Ann Taylor before, but after seeing these shorts in the window I had to go in and try them on.  I’m so glad I did because they fit perfectly and are a great length (not too short, not too long). Lillian Rubin swiss dot blouse (love this Beyond Vintage version from Shopbop), Ann Taylor shorts, French market basket (saw an identical one at Anthropologie last week!), J.Crew bangles, Michael Kors watch, Max and Chloe necklace, Lee Brevard earrings, vintage sunglasses, Jack Rogers sandals
