Thankful

Soho, NY

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you are somewhere warm, cozy and safe surrounded by loved ones.  Thanksgiving has become more and more meaningful to me as the years go by.  It’s such a beautiful holiday that reminds you to think about everything you’re grateful for, rest, relax, and spend time with friends and family.

This year my mom is visiting me here in LA.  My sister is in Paris with her fiancé, and my dad is in Arizona with his new fiancé!  I’m forever grateful for my family – for their health, for their happiness and constant support.    They are always there for me through the thick and thin.  They give the best advice, make me laugh, and even help me with my blog – like choosing photos (often at all hours of the night!)

I’m so grateful for Derek.  He accepts me for me – flaws and all, and never judges me or holds anything against me.  He is the most patient person I’ve ever met and insanely understanding even when I’ve been scared to trust or let him fully in (because of being hurt from my last relationship.)  His unwavering support means the world to me.

I’m so grateful for Charlie!  He’s my best friend and the most amazing dog.  He is the sweetest boy and always right by my side.  I’m pretty much obsessed with him (as evident from my Stories!)

I’m grateful for my best friends.  Some of which I’ve had since Kindergarten, some of which I’ve had since college, and some from my time in NYC and LA.  These people are family to me and my ride or dies.  They make me laugh so hard until my stomach hurts and they listen to me vent, cry, or share in my excitement day in and day out – no matter what.

I’m grateful for my health.  After 3 years I have finally healed my digestion and no longer suffer from debilitating stomach pains.  It was a long, frustrating journey to get here, but I stuck with it and I didn’t stop researching and experimenting until I felt better.  I feel like myself again!

I’m grateful for my job.  I get to do what I’m passionate about every day and I get to connect with, share and inspire women all over the world.  Also, I get to constantly meet new people, try new things, experience new things, and learn something new everyday.  I get to be innovative, creative, and a role model.

I’m grateful for my missteps, errors, problems, and traumas.  They’ve shaped me to be who I am. They have taught me so much and have pushed me to do better.  They have allowed me to have a different perspective. Also, they have opened new doors for me.  They have shown me how strong, resilient and tough I am.

And finally, I am thankful for you.  With Love From Kat started 8 years ago as a blogspot when I was 22 years old working as a nanny.  It was my happy place that I would go and write every free second I had about everything I was passionate about.  2 people were reading it at the time, then 10, then 100, then 1000, and now half a million of you are following, reading, commenting, sharing, and inspiring ME everyday.  You guys have taught me so much.  You have pushed me to be better, share more, open up.  Also, you have made my job 10x more fun and enjoyable.

I love you for not only reading my blog and supporting me professionally, but also supporting me personally.  So many of you have sent me touching messages and emails over the years and I appreciate each and every one. I’m seriously so grateful for this community of women!!!  Sending you so much love on this special day! <3 Kat
