I’ve never really been a huge fan of tweed – which is ironic because my style is classic and feminine. I’ve stayed away from tweed jackets, dresses and skirts because they’re usually made of a very thick, scratchy fabric that doesn’t feel good on.  One of my closest friends from Arizona just moved to the city and introduced me to Rebecca Taylor’s tweed.  My feelings about tweed have completely changed.  The fabric she uses in her pieces is thin and soft – and the patterns are modern and chic. This jacket is my new staple piece for brunches, meetings, cocktails, events, etc.  I’m dying to get my hands on more of her tweed pieces particularly this peplum toppaneled skirt, and cropped jacket.

I have the same sentiments toward tweed – like it sometimes, get tired of it most others. I like that you paired it with basic black and white here. I think that's the only way I could do it.

Love you in this jacket! The tweed looks much lighter than Tory Burch or other tweed options.

This jacket has been on my wish list for a few months, and I think you just sold me on it! I love how you put it together! What size did you purchase?

I bought a size 2! It's very fitted so if you want to wear a long sleeve shirt or blouse underneath I recommend getting size 4 :)

I looks comfy! And a little less structure and stuffy than most tweed I have seen. Def need to check this brand out.

Tweed can definitely be hard to wear without looking matronly but this jacket you have is a special one. The colours and pattern are fresh and it's the star of this outfit – other than you, of course!

I really love the colors on the jacket and it does seem a lot lighter than other tweed jackets that I've seen.

i recently picked up a tweed jacket from Japan. The fit was amazing…but its still in my closet waiting to be worn because I have no idea how I want to pair it.

Thanks for inspiration – I think I'll try to pair it soon. :)
