Blue jeans and a white T. Such a classic, basic, and simple combo that always works. I’ve been resorting back to the staple pieces in my closet since moving back to NYC. It feels so good to get back to basics and not be overthinking my outfits. I’ve been wearing things that are 100% fuss free…
I threw on my trusty Mango blazer (they really do make the best blazers) for a lunch meeting at Laduree and these beautiful Sarah Flint heels. Sarah’s shoes are iconic and she designs them with beauty AND function in mind. They have a thick, padded sole and buttery soft leather straps that make walking in them a breeeeeze.
On a personal note, I’ve been a little more silent on the blog this week because I’ve had a lot on my plate – both good and bad. The good – and there was a lot of good! – was my housewarming party, book launch party, family + friends coming in town and my sister’s bridal shower. The bad – I found out a friend and confidante who had a really positive impact on my life passed away far too soon. She was only 37 years old. I’m shocked and still fully processing her death. When things like this happen, it just reminds us how short life really is – and how important it is to be as present and grateful as possible. I learned so much from this person and I know she would want me to share some of that insight with the world. When I’m ready, I absolutely will <3
