TGIF! This short week flew by and I can’t believe it’s already the weekend. Thomas and I don’t have a ton of plans besides prepping for our trip to Scottsdale next week! I’m really excited to see my dad after months of not seeing him, plus it will be nice to get a change of scenery. We haven’t left the east coast in 7 months!
This blog post was a long time coming and I’m going superrrrr into detail on all of my favorite jewelry pieces and brands. If you can’t already tell, I’m a huge fan of gold jewelry, and never wear silver. I love the way gold jewelry looks on and think it’s the perfect mix of timeless and trendy. Here are some of my go-to pieces!
My Favorite Jewelry
Cartier Love Bracelet
I’ll start with my investment jewelry pieces first. My absolute favorite piece of jewelry is my Cartier Love bracelet. I bought it for myself 6 years ago in Paris after going through a difficult breakup. I think of it as a symbol of “self love” and it’s often the only piece of jewelry I wear. It’s a splurge, but something you’ll have forever. I also love the ring version that comes with a tiny diamond (you can also get it without) – so pretty. A lot of people like to layer their Love bracelet with a Juste un Clou bracelet, but it’s not my favorite. It’s just a bit too harsh/trendy.
Vintage Rolex Day-Date Watch
I rarely wear watches anymore, but if I do, it’s this vintage Rolex. I wore a very similar Michael Kors version for over a decade before upgrading. This is another super similar style. A Rolex is beyond classic and will never go out of style. The one I have is actually a men’s watch with a 36mm face. In my opinion, it looks much cooler than a small faced women’s watch.
Lee Brevard charm earrings
I always get asked about the earrings I wear because I rarely (as in maybe 5 times a year) take them off! I’ve been wearing these Lee Brevard charm earrings since high school – they’re the best! You can mix and match the charms and metals. My ears are double pierced so I have 2 different sets of charms. I have the 18K gold hoops with these charms and these charms. What’s great about them is they never rust, don’t irritate your ear, and look really elegant on. They make the perfect gift too!
Julie Vos hoop earrings
On the rare occasion I do change my earrings, they are for a fun pair of gold hoops. I own a ton of Julie Vos pieces (she’s based in NYC) and makes super high quality, affordable fashion jewelry. The exact pair of hoops I have are from years ago, and she no longer carries them, but she’s got a ton of other options here on her site.
Missoma gold coin necklaces
I wear several different gold necklaces, but many of them come from Missoma. Their collection is gorgeous and I own about 10 of their pieces. The Lucy Williams coin collection is the one that I can’t get enough of. I typically layer this necklace, this one, and/or this one together.
Awe Inspired Goddess necklace
This goddess gold charm necklace is one of go-to pieces as well. I always get compliments on it. The brand has a ton of other pretty necklaces as well!
Brinker and Eliza chunky gold necklaces
This CT based mother daughter duo designs such unique pieces. They’re all insanely affordable, yet look way more expensive than they are! I have this gold chain necklace, and this one from their collection.
Fleuri dainty pearl necklace
Fleuri jewelry is so dainty and elegant. I literally want one of everything from their site. I wear this pearl necklace a ton!
Vintage Chanel chain
Heather Gardner Lariat
This lariat is soooo sexy and subtle on. Heather is based in Malibu, and all of her lariats are to die for. She really has an eye for crafting bohemian chic pieces.
Jill Golden collar necklace
This simple, chic gold collar necklace is beautiful worn alone or layered with a lariat or dainty gold necklace. I love wearing it on date nights, for special occasions, or even just with a silk cami and blazer if I want a more modern look.
Jennifer Zeuner gold link ring
I’ve had this gold link ring for years. She slightly updated the links over the years, but it still looks almost identical to mine. I recently had it re-plated in 14K gold at a local jeweler, because I wash my hands with it on. I used to take my rings off when I washed my hands, but would always leave them behind, so now I keep them on!
Omi Woods signet ring
Gold bubble ring
I picked up a thick gold bubble style ring at a small boutique in Venice years ago, but I can’t remember what brand it was! This one from Baublebar looks identical and is a fraction of the price. I love the way they layered the two rings in the photo. I’m tempted to order them to have as a backup when I travel!
Aurelie Bidermann etched ring
The ring in this photo is from Aurelie Bidermann years ago and is sadly sold out, but I highly recommend checking out her line. Everything is stunning and well made.
Jewelry Wish List
There you have it! My most worn, favorite jewelry pieces. TBH I’m not a huge fan of diamonds (I know shocking right haha!) except for an engagement ring of course!!! I just don’t see myself ever rocking a diamond tennis bracelet or diamond studs. I don’t know – it’s just never been my style! And I really love simple, well made gold jewelry pieces. In terms of wish list jewelry items, the only other piece of everyday jewelry that I’m coveting is a Van Cleef and Arpels Alhambra mother of pearl necklace, ring or bracelet. I think I’d wear the necklace way more than the bracelet, but hey, if someone wanted to get me both I’d be fine with that ;) What are some of your favorite jewelry brands or designers? Would love to know what’s in your collection!
