Casual Holiday Outfit Ideas

Fairfield County, CT

This year we decided to decorate for Christmas way earlier than usual! My dad is in town for the next 2 weeks and I’m so excited to show him around our new area. Thomas and I picked up wreaths at a little garden shop called Town & Country in Wilton. They have a great selection of greenery if you’re nearby! I went a bit overboard and got wreaths for every window outside of the house! I’ve been seeing other people do that in our neighborhood and it just adds so much warmth to the home.

Casual Holiday Outfit Ideas

Faux Leather Leggings

To pick up our Christmas greenery, I wore these faux leather leggings. They’ve got a good amount of stretch, but don’t slip down when you sit or walk (which is KEY!) They’re from Nordstrom’s BP line and are under $50. I recommend getting your normal size. They have just the right amount of shine (not too much, not too little where they are matte!) Can you tell I’m picky about my faux leather leggings?!

Cozy Thermal Henley

I threw on this cute thermal henley with the leggings. It’s a top I know I’ll be wearing all year long. I love the more cropped/boxy fit. It’s sporty and casual. It would also look really cute over a silky slip dress in the spring with white sneakers! I like to wear it with sweatpants around the house too.

Winter Boots

These boots are from a few seasons ago, but I really love these, and you can’t go wrong with these. If you’ve been looking for a tan suede bootie these ones are so classic.

More Cute + Casual Pieces For Winter

Nordstrom carries soooo many incredible brands in house which you can find under their Nordstrom Made section. I wear this nightgown every night. It always sells out, so I buy 2-3 at a time!!! These sweatpants are DIVINE and I live in them pretty much all week long. This fringe cream cardigan is so chic and I can see myself wearing it all shades of ivory/white. Not clothing, but this cheese board is kind of perfect isn’t it?! See more of my favorite easy, casual pieces for the holiday season below!

Same with the decorating! We also moved into a new house this year and we’re joking that we were establishing ourselves as pre-thanksgiving people 😂

Winter boots like these are something I need but seem to have the hardest time investing in, I’m not sure why because I know they’ll be so useful!
