Cozy Layers in Aspen

Aspen, CO

Happy Monday!  I had a relaxing weekend with my sister who is in town for the next 2 weeks!  I love when she comes to visit and can’t wait to show her some of my new favorite LA spots.  This is my last Aspen outfit from our final day in town.  I wore this shearling Iro jacket to dinner at Matsushisa (which btw is officially my new favorite sushi spot.)  I love anything shearling, and bought it for my birthday last year.  What’s nice about shearling jackets is that they can be worn year round – especially lighter ones like this, with a simple white T underneath.  It’s a super chic piece of outerwear to travel in – and I’ve seen girls wear flat black moto boots with it and distressed jeans at the airport.

I paired my shearling jacket with these white DVF booties which are the BEST boots.  They’re so comfy and go with everything.  They even look cute with a sundress and leather jacket.  They’re on sale here FYI!  I always like to go a 1/2 size down in DVF since her shoes tend to run a tiny bit big.

I threw on a beanie because Aspen was freeeeeeezing and it helped big time – this one is on major sale.  It’s simple, classic, cashmere – I mean, you can’t go wrong.  When it comes to winter pieces, it’s worth investing in 100% cashmere items because they’ll actually keep you warm and last for seasons to come.  This Theory sweater is a splurge, but one of the softest I own and it’s seriously even more beautiful in person.  Shop my entire look as well as similar items below!

Iro jacket (also love this one)  |  Theory sweater c/o (another option)
