Happy spring!!! I just got back from NYC last night, and although it still feels like winter there, I can tell the cold front is almost over and spring will be there in no time!!! I have to say, this past winter was by far my favorite. After years of loathing winter and the cold, I’ve finally turned a corner and come to really love and embrace it. Two things that have helped that – obviously living in LA this past year has effected my outlook since winter is essentially non existent lol, and also, I’ve finally learned how to dress for the cold! I’ve worked on my winter wardrobe for years – investing in high quality pieces to keep me warm and stylish no matter where I go or what the occasion is. The key to staying warm and looking chic is; 100% cashmere, layers upon layers, hats, and over the knee boots – especially for walking long distances. These Stuart Weitzman boots have never let me down and this White + Warren scarf is a literal life saver for long flights, wind chills, and freezing temps!
This was the last winter outfit I wore in Paris and also one of my favorites from the season. These white booties will be perfect to pair with spring outfits – I’m envisioning them with a floral Zimmerman dress! And these distressed skinny jeans will always be my go-tos regardless of the season. This Cuyana deep grey turtleneck sweater was a DREAM to have in my closet this season. After wearing it everywhere from NYC to Paris and Aspen – I’m now dying to get my hands on some of their cashmere v-necks and long cardigans for spring. The quality is impeccable and I love all of the colors + styles they offer.
I’m wiped out from a whirlwind 48 hour trip to NYC with Charlie, but excited for these next few weeks. To decompress and stabilize my immune system (I always get out of whack after flying – so many germs on planes!), I’m looking forward to getting a Thai massage this weekend and doing an infrared sweat session at Shape House. Doing those two self care rituals regularly has really helped me stay healthy this season and kept my body + mind feeling their best. If you’ve never done a Thai massage – I definitely recommend finding a place near you to get one. They call it “lazy man’s yoga” for a reason – it feels like one big hour long stretch. And I can’t even begin to tell you what a difference I’ve felt from infrared sweat sessions – wow. I’m going to do a whole blog post on the benefits, but basically you’re burning calories, eliminating toxins, and boosting your mood through this simple, effective hour long process. Anyways, hope you’re having a great week and taking some time to take care of yourself – it really is so important! <3
