Gift Guide: His + Hers Casual Style

Derek and I both work from home so most days you’ll find us in cozy lululemon gear like this!  It feels so good to wear cute sweats like this when I don’t have a shoot, meeting or event to attend.  I still feel put together and never mind running errands or being out and about.  I love that I can work out in anything from lululemon and head to brunch straight after! Derek told me not to get him anything for Christmas, but obviously I wasn’t about to listen to him ;)  I wanted to get him something that he would actually use and wear – so I knew lululemon would be ideal!  If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that shopping for clothes isn’t exactly Derek (or any guy’s) favorite thing to do LOL.  BUT he REALLY enjoyed picking out these pieces and he’s obsessed with this hoodie – he even slept in it the other night haha! lululemon gift guidelululemon has sooo many amazing pieces for men and women that make the perfect gifts for the holidays.  I love this hoodie that I’m wearing (I like my lululemon gear to fit a bit looser, so I tend to size up to a 4 or a 6), these joggers, and this puffer coat (so reasonable.)  I also couldn’t resist buying this super soft sherpa hoodie!  This beanie makes your entire outfit and is a fun stocking stuffer idea – so is this water bottle.  Up your sneaker game for you and your hubby with these APL kicks.  FYI they run big so I recommend going down a half size.  And get him this uber cozy hoodie and pants to work out and relax in whenever.  I LOVE this gym bag and this yoga mat! New workout gear always inspires me to be more active – and it’s even more motivating to have someone to do it with.  With the New Year coming up – all of this stuff will be put to VERY good use if you ask me!  Shop all of my must have gifts from lululemon here!  PS you can order lululemon until December 21st and still get it in time for Christmas!

Gift Guide: What I'm Actually Giving This Year

Happy Monday! It’s hard to believe Christmas is 2 weeks away!  If you’re anything like me, you’ve left Christmas shopping ’til the last minute.  Not to fret – I’ve got you covered!!!  I wanted to share what I’m actually giving my friends and family this year.  I’ve been doing these gift guides for years and always get asked specifically what I like to get my mom, sister, dad, and friends – so here’s the low down! Family Gift Guide For mom My mom spent Thanksgiving with me and absolutely LOVED my linen sheets.  If you don’t already have linen sheets – trust me, you need ’em.  I decided to order her sheets from The Citizenry.  I love Parachute sheets as well and got Derek these grey ones for his birthday last year!  I’m also getting my mom her favorite Jo Malone candle, (already gave her this lavender L’Occitane set), the Gwyneth Paltrow’s It’s All Easy cookbook, and the Skylar “Capri” perfume which is so light, refreshing, and also happens to contain zero parabens and toxic chemicals! For sister My sister has been obsessed with my Honest face oil so it’ll be the perfect stocking stuffer item for her.  She’s also been asking for Indie Lee products so I’m going to get her this set.  She doesn’t have an Instant Pot yet – so I definitely am going to get her one!  And then she’s been wanting a new pair of stylish winter boots – so I ordered these for her in black (you may recognize them because I own them in brown!) For dad My dad is moving into a new house next month, so I want to get him a housewarming gift.  This Ralph Lauren cashmere cable throw is splurgeworthy, and this one from Pottery Barn is also gorgeous.  He’s always in need of some new cotton T-shirts from J.Crew so I’m going to stock up on those for him, and he loves the Kiehl’s grooming kit too! For Derek Last year, I got Derek this Filson travel duffle which he adores and a Miansai bracelet.  This year, I got him Garrett Leight sunnies that he’s been eyeing (they’re definitely a notch up from Ray Bans and so worth it), APL sneakers and tons of cozy sweats from Lululemon.  I’m also getting him a massage from our favorite spa in Santa Monica; The Raven! For friends I love these little L’Occitane ornament sets, and how amazing is this Chanel lipgloss trio?!!  I’m thinking of getting these monogrammed cosmetic cases for my closest friends, and this fun monogrammed iphone case for my bestie.  For one of my girlfriends who is a total beauty junkie – I’m giving her this professional Kabuki brush + brush cleaner set that she said she wanted after seeing me use it! Other fun last minute gift ideas How darling is this monogram cheese board?  These gold hoop charm earrings are beautiful.  I love all of Madewell’s cozy sweaters.  This scarf would make any outfit!  And don’t forget to check my other gift guides featuring the best candles, coffee table books, meaningful gifts, gifts for everyone and more!

A Holiday Bar Cart

I always enjoy decorating my home for the holidays and having friends over for cocktails!  If you’re going to add one decor item to your home this season, I highly recommend this gold bar cart.  It completes any entryway, room, nook, or party!  It’s literally the perfect gold bar cart and no surprise it’s from the Martha Stewart Collection created for Macy’s.  I loved decorating it for the holidays and wanted to share tips on how to style a bar cart. How to style a holiday bar cartFirst and foremost you need some beautiful glasses to hold your delicious cocktails!  These glasses are all from the Martha Stewart Collection created for Macy’s and look so elegant and sophisticated!  I have been dying to get my hands on old fashioned glasses like these – isn’t the cut out detail stunning?  And I love how romantic these goblets are – they make drinking wine even more fun if that’s even possible!!!   I always get asked where my julep cups come from – and these are the perfect set.  You can also use julep cups for your makeup brushes and flowers – they’re very multipurpose! Second you need a bar tool set which not only looks pretty but will make your cocktail game 10x better.  Whip up amazing concoctions with this 5 piece set.  This 7 bar tool set comes with a tray and cocktail shaker…such a great value – and also a great gift idea. It’s always nice to have a chic silver bucket full of ice for champagne or wine – and this one is so classy and comes with little silver tongs.  Keep this on the top shelf for easy access! Flowers and fruit are the finishing touches needed to really bring your bar cart setup up to life.  I used simple red roses here, and pomegranates on the bottom shelf.  You can also use coffee table books, candles, and even tie a wreath or garland to the front. Festive Christmas DecorWhen it comes to holiday decor, I love putting out garland on my TV console (would also look great on a mantle or table), and tons of candles everywhere.  This garland comes with the prettiest silver ornaments that match these antique silver candle holders.  I placed a few of these antique silver trees in between to break up the candles.  A holiday set up wouldn’t be complete without Christmas houses – and these winter white ones are darling and so reasonable – I had to get 3!  Lastly, mini trees really do elevate the space, and I love these two which I placed on either end of the console. Shop all of my festive holiday decor and bar cart goodies from the Martha Stewart Collection created for Macy’s below!
