I dragged Talun to the beach one morning in Montauk so we could catch the beautiful sunrise just outside our hotel. It was 100% worth it. We caught the most gorgeous rainbow colored skies (these photos don’t do them justice!) and then had the entire day to explore. I wore this Burberry trench (also love this trench for under $100) which is warmer than you’d think and is by far one of the best investment pieces I own. I’ve worn it in the fall, winter, spring, AND summer. I threw my baseball cap on and layered with this plaid scarf I picked up last season. Scarves are my favorite way to pull an outfit together and can completely change the look of a coat you’ve worn countless times. Winter can be tricky – we all get tired of wearing the same coat over and over again! Living in NYC, I try to do frequent closet clean outs, invest in classic coats that will last for years, and buy fun scarves and hats to change up my look. There are so many amazing coats on sale right now. This gorgeous cream Ralph Lauren coat just got marked down to $200, I’m coveting this Topshop extra long coat in every color, and this is such a cool military inspired coat.

I definitely agree that winter can be tricky and it can get tiring to wear the same things over and over again. I think accessories are a great way to change up an outfit. Speaking of which, I love that scarf and that baseball hat gives your outfit a really cool sporty vibe.
