White Lace Shorts for Summer

I forgot how much I love wearing shorts!  Since moving to LA I’ve been living in boyfriend jeans (if you hadn’t already noticed! ;)) but since it’s starting to heat up I’ve been on the look out for cute shorts.  LOFT has the best selection of shorts in so many different colors and patterns – and I’ve been switching between wearing these linen ones and these white lace ones.  I’ve been stopped multiple times in the street wearing these white ones and everyone is shocked that they’re under $30!  They run pretty true to size (but if you’re in between sizes I would size down). They are fully lined so you don’t have to worry about them being ultra sheer/see through! I paired these shorts with a simple grey T – I love that this one feels sturdy and is made of linen, and a tailored white blazer for an easy weekday or weekend look.  I stocked up on a ton of these cotton T’s after popping into LOFT the other day – in neutrals (of course!); aka black, white, and grey!  LOFT has so many feminine, quality pieces for your wardrobe and everything can mix and match so seamlessly.  I’m linking to some of my other favorite pieces below like this great white linen summer sundress, this knit short sleeve sweater, and cream cardigan. White Kaftan at Brunch

Over the weekend, Jess and I stopped by the stunning 1 Hotel in South Beach to try Plnthouse – a delicious vegan eatery by famous chef Matthew Kenney.  Plnthouse was unlike any vegan brunch spot I’ve ever been to and is a must whether you are vegan or not!  Matthew actually has a restaurant near my house in Venice – called Plant, Food and Wine which is one of my favorite date night spots.  Matthew’s dishes are all incredibly unique, fresh, and colorful.  The portions are always just right and extremely flavorful.  We ordered the hearts of palm, citrus, radish salad, avocado toast, pineapple turmeric smoothie bowl, a huge summer shaved carrot salad, matcha lattes and of course a chocolate chip cookie for dessert!  I wore this easy white kaftan that I picked up from Calypso (which is sadly going out of business!  Side note that was actually my first retail job!)  I paired the white kaftan with a fun embroidered clutch and simple lace up sandals.  The 1 Hotel is easily one of my top 5 Miami hotels.  The 2 pools on the upper and lower deck are gorgeous, the rooms are to die for, the gym is INSANE, they have a Soul Cycle next door, a super cool/happening lobby bar and great restaurants! Mother's Day Gift Guide

// Mother’s Day is right around the corner so I wanted to share a few thoughtful and unique gift ideas.  Almost all of my ideas came from Nordstrom.com.  They have the best selection of clothing, beauty, and home decor items, which makes it so easy to shop for any occasion.  My mom loves to wear scarves and this one has her name written all over it.  These loafers are classic and splurge worthy (I have them in purple.)  The Dolce by Dolce & Gabbana perfume smells heavenly.  It has notes of white amaryllis, papaya and sandalwood.  The best part about it is that it lasts all day long.  These earrings are elegant and can be dressed up or down (use code MOM for 15% off.)  This card holder is simple and chic.  It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with Diptyque candles; Tubereuse is one of the best scents from the line.  I own 4 Ina Garten cookbooks and am dying to get this one.  Her recipes are fresh and yummy.  The new Tory Burch perfume comes in this beautiful gift set with lotion and a mini bottle.  This Dolce & Gabbana lipstick is super moisturizing and leaves a gorgeous, high-shine finish.  It goes on so smooth and comes in a variety of different colors – although I’m partial to this hot pink shade. This zebra dish is a perfect nightstand addition.  This gold link bracelet (15% off) is one of my favorite accessories.
