Rehearsal Dinner

Nantucket, MA

Our rehearsal dinner took place on a balmy Tuesday evening in Nantucket. The rain held off until the very last hour, but the storm clouds ended up creating the most gorgeous lighting for us! It was so special to kick off our wedding events with this intimate dinner surrounded by our families.

I picked out this Monique Lhuillier wedding dress for our rehearsal. I fell in love with the origami back detail which cascaded and draped in the most unique places. The original design had a longer train, but we shortened it to just brush the floor with heels. Originally, I actually wanted a simple and sleek wedding dress style like this, but when I tried it on, I knew it would be even better suited for the rehearsal night! Monique’s pieces are such a dream. This exact style is called the Raine and was purchased at her Madison Avenue boutique, but I’ve linked several similar options below! For my shoes, I wore these fun Stuart Weitzman heels and for accessories – I wore my everyday, favorite charm earrings from Lee Brevard.

Thomas bought this J.Crew white dinner jacket only a week before our wedding – haha typical him! He is a procrastinator like I am! Thank goodness it fit and looked amazing on. He went with a size 40R instead of a tall despite him being 6’4″ and wearing a tall size in most clothes. The jacket ran long so the regular worked great. He said that if your hubby is in between sizes, he could probably size down since it does run long. His shirt is from Charles Tyrwhitt and his bowtie was old from Brooks Brothers (this one is similar.) His velvet loafers are available here and his pants are J.Crew.
