Happy Friday! Spring is less than 1 week away – can you believe it?! To kick off the season, Derek and I decided to head to my favorite nursery; Rolling Greens, to pick up pots, plants, and seeds for our very own garden. I’ve always wanted to have a garden, but was kind of intimidated by the idea of starting one from scratch. Luckily Derek loves to research everything and anything and took charge with this project! I used my decor expertise and design eye to do the shopping and went with these beautiful rustic grey pots in 3 different sizes for outside. I also picked up 2 fiddle leaf fig trees for inside my living room – which many of you were messaging me about after seeing them on my stories! I’m sure the local nursery in your area would have them as well! For our gardening excursion, I wore my new favorite white button down and these ultra soft skinny Paige jeans from Bloomingdales. Both of these pieces are from Bloomingdales 100% Exclusives section. I always manage to find the best pieces in this section!!! You really can never have too many white button downs and I love that this one is long in the front and back. A white button down is a MUST for spring – the styling possibilities are endless ;) The jeans I’m wearing here are high waisted and made of the stretchiest, most comfortable material. I have ZERO patience anymore for low rise, stiff jeans that slip down and don’t allow me to MOVE freely. I’ve been living in these jeans because the medium wash goes with everything and can be dressed up or dressed down. FYI they look really cute with a black tank and leather jacket for dinner dates!!! I couldn’t resist pre-ordering a few more 100% Exclusive to Bloomingdales pieces like this chic light pink pantsuit combo (which is so reasonable for the quality), this belted jumpsuit, this black corset jumpsuit, and this cute lace up sweater. Shop more of my picks along with my entire outfit below. Enjoy your weekend!
These images are stunning! Loving your look too. Looking forward to seeing peeks of your garden :) Have a wonderful weekend!
Super cool idea but not for me yet as it’s going to freeze this week-end!
Very nice pictures as well ;)

Those jeans are on point. I love Paige denim, it is my favorite piece that you are wearing :) Now if I could only grow my hair out as long as yours.
Oh my goodness, I am in love with all of your pieces as each and every sjnglenone of them can be a statement of its own. If I have to choose one then I would say the white button down as it can be worn in so many different ways, it’s such a versatile piece and who can resist a good white button down?
Lovely photos Kat! So vibrant!nice write up… your pictures give me hope that spring is around the corner.. I enjoyed your last blog post about relationships. Thanks for inspiring us to keep going forward💕💕💕. First day of spring falls on my birthday 21st of march. I have an apt and can’t really plant anything in the soil so I usually buy fresh tulips and Cala Lilly’s and it makes me so happy. That’s how I have being able to get through the winter blues 🙂
Love the high-waisted denim! Such a classic look with an effortless vibe ♥️
Loving this classic combo! My favorite item is the white button down – I’m always looking for versatile items to add to my capsule wardrobe. Thank you!’
Jeans!
Nice post! I gotta visit that nursery. Love the MK shirt. It looks great on you.
I love the green vest and the jeans the most, but it all looks great!
I love this outfit! I have a similar vest but very inspired by this white top underneath and love this denim!!! Such a cute outfit! Also I’ve always wanted to start a garden and I’m so intimidated so thank you for this post!
I love hydrangeas so much. The idea having my own garden makes me so happy but I’m not the best at remembering to water & care for it. lol which is why i usually just do vases of flowers. But I can’t wait to see how yours turns out! Btw! I love love the boots the most in that outfit you’re wearing. I’ll have to check out that Bloomingdales section you mentioned. I’m always looking to change my closet up.
Paige jeans are my favorite! This medium wash is a great color and I can’t wait for spring in DC!
Thanks Kat! I always love reading your blogs. Spring is my favorite, and i’m looking forward seeing your spring outfit ideas! 🌸 I super love those pants on you! you look fab as always!🌸
I live for a good pair of jeans! Your jeans look super comfy and is there anything more essential for a chic girl than a great pair of jeans? Keep up the great looks!
I love your outfits! Also, all of the flowers looks so beautiful. I wish I had the time to create my own little garden. Thanks for sharing. :)

Love the green vest paired with the relaxed button down!
I love hydrangea plants so cute! That green vest has been on my bucket list for a year now. You make it look so effortless

I love this white blouse. I’m on a perennial hunt for the perfect white button down and this looks like a good contender!
Omg those boots you’re wearing are so cute! So effortless but eye catching.
My favorite piece you are wearing is the velvet by graham and spencer vest! That company makes the best neutral pieces! Their basic tees are a wardrobe essential. I love that you can layer this vest over long sleeves, flannels, and even sweaters. I tend to always dress in layers because I constantly find myself being cold, especially during the chilly winter months in BK! Might just have to go pick up a vest for myself…
Love your blog and cameos from little Charlie!!
Love the whole outfit. But my fave piece is the military vest! Good luck on the garden! 🌷🌹🌻
Love the jeans!
Ah, a new garden, what fun! I can also have a garden this year for the first time in almost 10 years since I sold my house. But now I finally have an apt with a small yard where I can do a little gardening. But we’re still having snow (!!!) so it will have to wait a little bit longer! Can’t wait to see pictures of yours!

This shoot was so perfect for Spring! Made me want to start a garden Kat! My favourite piece you’re wearing is definitely the Jeans!!
Love your vest – cute to change up an outfit!
I absolutely love your army vest—I’ve seen you wear something similar (or the same) before and I always love it. Just super chic and versatile!!
I completely feel your pain at the nursery! We just bought a home and the yard needs a ton of love – and my husband is much better at the landscaping/gardening than me. #imnogreenthumb I also love you’re white button down! I have trouble finding one that fits me right and if you’re running errands – must be a good and comfy one. I’ll have to look it up.
The bag looks so versatile and useful.
Love the paige denim!!
Love love love the vest!! So cute for out and about and super useful while gardening, with all of those pockets.
My dream is to have a garden some day, so while I dream, you create yours so I can add it to my inspiration board 😁.

I especially love your white button down, it’s crisp and perfect for spring! 💕
Wow. Great Photos. I love those colourfull flowers.
HelloKat,
Your blog posts are absolutely stunning! Thank you for sharing your intelligent sense of style. I love the high waisted jeans for the very same reasons… who has time for low rise denims? High waisted jeans have a more flattering silloete and really hold everything which can give us the comfort of taking one more bite of that matcha croissant!
Love love this whole outfit!! Jeans look like the perfect jeans!!
I am with you! I love high waisted jeans they are comfortable and give you long legs for days lol! and I white button down is a must I agree!! I actually need a new one!
