TGIF! So sorry for the lack of posts this week! I had an internet outage in my apartment! It took 5 technicians allllll week to fix, but now it’s finally up and running! I really missed writing and sharing updates with you this week.
I used the time I wasn’t writing blog posts to continue unpacking/organizing my apartment, meet with several brands I’m working with for the spring/summer, catch up with friends, and celebrate being featured in a best selling book! I am thrilled to share I am featured in; Earn It written by Daniela Pierre-Bravo and Mika Brzezinski. I am honored to be included in this book alongside some of my idols; Tory Burch, Martha Stewart and Sarah Jessica Parker! This is a great read for anyone navigating the modern work world and looking for career advice.
A Blue Trench Coat For Spring
Those of you who have been reading WLFK for years, know I rarely wear color, and when I do it’s on a vacation or it’s a simple pop of red. When I saw this robin’s egg bright blue trench online, I was immediately drawn to it. It’s such a gorgeous, vibrant shade and SO different from the trenches I have hanging in my closet. It’s fun and playful for warm spring afternoons and a welcome change to my sea of neutrals! It also comes in this beautiful amber color. Other blue spring jackets I’m loving are; this silky trench (on sale!), this Kendall + Kylie light blue trench, and this linen blazer.
How To Wear Color
When it comes to wearing bright colors – you can color block and wear two different bright colors together, you can do a monochrome head-to-toe look, OR you can rock a pop of color over a neutral base like I did here. If I was going to color block – I would do mix hot pink and red – so chic.
Pair Color With A Neutral Base
These blue jeans I’m wearing here are from Abercrombie and currently under $50! They make your butt look SO good and are perfect for casual weekend outings. I paired my jeans and bright blue trench with a simple white v-neck (that I also wore here) from My Theresa. Do not even get me started on the bag + shoe sections at My Theresa…I could get lost for hours perusing their dreamy assortment.
Enjoy your weekend!
